Looks like the city is getting ready to mess up my street with resurfacing and they've decided to start right in front of my house!! Glad they're doing this while I'm mostly housebound, what a mess it will be!! Nice when it's finished though, although I really don't think our street needs it, looks good to me already. Oh well, they never ask me how our tax monies should be spent anyway!! Grrrrr!!

I'm freezing!! Yes, me..the one who is normally hot!! It's 71ºF outside and only 67ºF inside my house..Brrrr!! I had to turn my heat on for goodness sakes!! Later it's going up to 78º though, so I'll be able to open my patio door by then. Looks like most of you are having rain today. I'll be getting some rain tomorrow here maybe.

I'll be doing some house stuff today like making myself write out the bills. *Not* one of my favorite things to do!! I don't know why either, I've never minded doing it before. I sure have gotten lazy in my retired years. LOL!!

Okay Buggie Wuggies, guess I'll try to do something productive now..or..just go and make a nice hot \_/> tea..or both. The street worker's lunch break is over and they've turned on the loud noisey machines again. No nap today I guess..LOL!!

Enjoy your day everyone, see you later......Hugs, Susie

Hi, Susie

I went out just long enough to go to the Fitness Center and do a few errands. Just as I returned, it started to rain again.

So I suggested that the roofers call it a day. They work from 7-4 with just a short break so this would be aa good a time as any. My noise has ended for the day. Yours will continue for a while longer, I guess.

It's cold here today. The heat went on automatically this morning. It's been a long winter and a cool spring.

I'm having my \_/> of tea right now, too. Enjoy yours!

Francine

Good Monday, Susie! I am with you on the temps. I am freezing most of the time inside. DH keeps shaking his head with me in sweaters and covered with my blankie! lol Today I kinda pushed and did a store run and picked up too much stuff. I went ahead a left all the non-refrigerated stuff in the car for DH to get later. I am still pretty sore (and impatient!) and still have not heard back from my blood work to see why I am feeling sooo exhausted. Guess I am expecting alot. I did get a ham cooked, with fresh string beans and squash...pretty easy stuff. It was 90 yesterday...that kind of heat will drain any pep and vigor hiding inside one, in a jiffy! It is breezy here today...and I will ssay...I love a good breeze. Love watching the tall tree branches and and how the birds ride the currents....so cool! Feels good , too! Well, I am going on, cause DH has gone up for a quick nap before dinner and I am catching up on emails....Glad you are progressing...hope those nasty storms stay away (what county do you live in?) Take good care, Franni

Okay, I'm going to try to post this reply again and see if it's accepted. They said I was using unacceptable words last time I tried, but none were listed. I looked it over three times and could find nothing that would be considered unacceptable.

Anyhoo..here goes..I admire you Francine for going to the fitness center regularly. Wish I had that dicipline since I have such good new exercises that my PT and OT gals gave me. They're finished up with me now since I got stronger so quickly. I will miss them, very nice gals and like having a personal trainer come to my house. Now I'm on my own to keep up with it and my lazy bones and procrastination gets in the way.

Glad your roofers quit early today. Hope they get finished soon though. My street crew left and I don't know what's going to happen next. Hope they get started on part two tomorrow as I am curious. Looks like much more than resurfacing. I think they're going to do some digging. Groannn!! What a mess that always is.

We both enjoyed our \_/> hot tea this morning, but it took me awhile still to warm up. How about you? Another \_/> hot tea is sounding good right about now too....Hugs, Susie

Okay...let's see if they accept this post. Still wondering what they objected to in my last one.

Hugs,

The only traffic tie-up between Milwaukee and MN was a five-mile stretch of orange cones creating one lane of driving. It is still daylight but not a worker was seen, just idle trucks and equipment. My dad told me a story of his Army days of how they were told to dig a hole and then fill it, just to keep the men busy--I guess these men became heads of the street repair departments. Kathey

Doncha just hate when that happens. Often there will be miles and miles of orange cones and no workers to be found at all..or..they'll only be in one small section and then off you go driving in one lane again for a few more miles before they finally let you out of that mess. They should only block off the section they're working on IMO!! Don't know why they don't ask us these things, would make life much easier for everyone..LOL!!...Susie
