Had an absolutely wonderful Mothers Day yesterday! The weather was beautiful, after a few morning clouds the sun came out. After grabbing a mocha and a pull-a-part at the bakery we picked up DS and DDiL and caught the ferry. Picked up DD and DSiL and we were off to the Camano Island art studio tour. Stopped in at several places saw some beautiful stuff and some strange stuff and lots of very expensive stuff! Took a little side trip to a state park that is right on the water. Took some pictures, threw some rocks in the sound, DD wanted to check out the campground for possible future use. Drove back down toward town on very nice backroads. Stopped for dinner at a place called Canyons (southwest style food) had some BBQ ribs(yummm!). Got home around 6pm. My brother had come over to do his laundry while we were gone and to keep Anna company and he cleaned up the driveway and did some weeding while he was here. How sweet was that?! Anyway, all in all a very nice day!
Well, until I watched Survivor that is! So disappointing!
Hope you all had a good day! KaCee

Hugs,

Glad your special time with DH and all your kids was so good. A beautiful day up where you live is just about the best there is. I remember some wonderful state parks up there. A relative of a relative (?!) called today, and was asking me about living in the Southeast, different cities in Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina. She and her husband and 3 young children are thinking of relocating "one last time". They have spent a while in the Air Force, are now in the private sector, and aren't satisfied with where they are now. Portland, OR, is another spot they are considering, but she was telling me about how they are afraid of inflated land prices, you know, the California drift up the coast. How is life in Oregon/Washington these days concerning land prices, taxes, schools, and so on. Hey, you are certainly more of an expert on that area than I am on the entire Southeast!!! Well, if you have the time, and it's something you have some passion for, pass it on, OK? LOL I do have a bad habit of picking people's minds. Sorry. It's just irresistable sometimes. Glad your Mother's Day was a good one. Seren
Oh well, I am just jealous. It does sound like a lovely day, Kacee. You have such a nice family......BB
Poof!!! I'm gone!!
