I'm ready to talk Survivor!

Gee, didn't Matt clean up well? I was so mad at Jenna for playing the sick mother card at the last council. What a fine message to send young women."Don't bother working hard and helping out the community. Just be little, cute, stick thin and a swimsuit model and you too can get ahead. Oh and don't forget to take off your clothes for chocolate and peanut butter on TV!" Grr! Don't know if I will watch next time. KaCee

Poof!!! I'm gone!!

Funny, I've heard several people (some that I didn't even know watched Survivor!) say they won't watch again. I don't think it's because they are "angry" that Jenna won. After all, we often don't particularly *like* the person who wins. It's because there is a feeling that the editing is such that maybe we are kept too clueless to feel that we can sort of "play along" at home. I'm *always* surprised, really, because I just am! But this time there was a feeling that maybe I had been watching a separate show altogether, and a lot of the fun for the home viewer is in trying to figure out how it'll play in the end. In this case, it was just off the wall. I think people felt a little too *handled*, or manuevered. Know what I mean?? I'm just thinking the producers went a little too far. But I'll probably be front and center in front of the TV for the next one. LOL Although, I have given up all the other *reality* shows. Well, til they do another Big Brother. LOL I'm hopeless! Seren

Heidi's IQ is high in the genius level and she was wise hiding it IMO. After it was brought up, she talked about having to hide it because if it were known by the others, it would have made it even harder for her with them....Susie

Ok, Ok, Just *one* more remark! I would have to say, who tested Heidi??!! Sorry, I don't buy it. It's difficult for a truly brilliant person, even a gym teacher (???please, no offense intended here!!), to hide all that brain power as well as she did. LOL A rocket scientist doesn't have to be brilliant, hey, I live in the original rocket scientist city!! But no, sorry, ain't buying that. I don't think she is stupid; I'm just saying she's not extraordinarily high on the bright side! LOL Now, seriously, no more from me! But, I will watch the show you mentioned, KaCee! Love to see the places! That is the one where they set out in pairs, and read the clues, and race to all the interesting countries and so on? Now that is the kind of show I would have dreamed up if I were the kind of person who dreams up shows!! LOL But I just watch'em...Seren

I feel deprived! LOL! I have never seen a complete episode of Survivor ... just bits and snatches as my DH channel surfs.

Tell me the truth. Am I missing anything?

susie,

i imagine she thought it would be easier to be thought of as the dumb blonde.

really she was pretty smart doing it that way.

Depends on whether or not you like that sort of thing, some do some don't. Give it a try if you're curious, but try to catch it from the beginning so you'll know who's who and what's what....Suze

Well, depends on your circumstances! DH also gets into this, and he controls the TV at night. So if it's not this, for me, it would be: all news, all the time. Or maybe something educational about insect life, energy sources, car design....Nah, give me Survivor anytime! LOL It's just something you can get hooked into if you want to. Not as serious as war and some other *real* reality, but fun to talk about! It's gossip but not about people you *really* know. LOL Seren
