yesterday! Our realtor called to say the couple buying the house wanted to come over to measure for furniture!

Now in my "fragile" state, I figured, "they get to come over and look, they will have a place to live in July while we will probably be in a pop-up camper at DD's, we can't get into our new condo to live until the end of July and the sellers will probably back out at the last minute and we will be in that camper", on and on!! I told our realtor I was worried about it and she said she will call back after talking to the other realtor to see what is going on over there (at our new, proposed digs).

Well friends, at risk of making you think I am a "drunk", I had a gin gimlet. Just what I needed. I sent a few e-mails to my girlfriends and unloaded on them. The drink wore off and I sent them "new, revised" e-mails, but I definitely felt better.

A few hours later the couple came over, with the kids, and I was so glad they did. I told the woman to bring the kids in this time, because it was going to be their house anyway and she said, "really?". They were so nice. DH took the husband through the house and showed him all of the knobs and pulleys he should know about. I was everywhere, in the happily agitated state I often get in. She was so enthused. Talked about what she was going to plant here and what she was going to plant there. The 6 year old boy was very disappointed in his room. He said he doesn't want "that room" to be his bedroom! lol It is the computer room -- no bed. Guess he thinks he will have to sleep in the chair.

To add to the happy event, our realtor called, as the couple entered the house and told me that everything was still o.k. The couple we are buying from are in Fl. with their daughter who just had a baby. See, I had been going past that place and it did not look lived in. Married to a detective for 44 years, so I was suspicious, thinking, if noone lives here, why can't we get in the place until the end of July!!!!

o.k. Does this make any sense to you? It does to me, but then again, I'm the one who does this to myself.

Good morning buggies. Glad you are here to listen to me.

Makes perfect sense to me. The city you will be moving to isn't Amnityville, is it? Kathey

Poor Lanie, I know what you're going through! I can't wait to show you the house that we lived in before this one. Do you know you can actually see it from here? I have a STORY to tell you about it, but since it's so long I'll just tell you in person-in a few weeks!! OK???

Hope you have a good day!

Oh, Lanie, Lanie...what a state we sometimes get ourselves in, we just let that ole mind get away with its self. Know exactly what you were going through. So glad all worked out. The little fellow will be surpised when they actually start moving in and there is NO furniture in that room...he will think he has to sleep on the floor. ;o)

Nobody can blame you for being discombobulated, Lanie. Moving is very stressful. And when things have to fall inline with others, especially strangers. But it will work out fine. Soon you will be in your lovely new condo. Are you excited about new decorations and furniture?

Have a great Tuesday, Lanie.

"discombobulated"? That must be a Southern Belle term. I'm off to the dictionary right now. (LOL) Kathey

At last I understand the trips around the parking lot at MB!! You were being a detective's wife and casing the place, right?!!

Oh, Lanie, you can be a 'stitch-a-minute'! Glad you are feeling better about things today!

That poor little guy...being forced to sleep in a desk chair! LOL

I hate to admit it, but that is one word I don't think I ever came across. I did look it up and became very discombobulated with the OED so went to the high school Merriam Webster and found out the meaning.

Oh Lanie, this too shall pass. And I loved KT's comment about the parking garage in MB! LOL! So funny! I can kind of sympathise with you as our remodel is still not settled. I have about thrown up my hands. I thought DH had decided against it (economy, war, some company happenings) and then this morning just as he is going out the door he says "We have a meeting on Thursday afternoon with Pricilla(the architect)" What? I'm just rolling with the punches now. Hope you have a good day! KaCee

Poof!!! I'm gone!!
