yesterday! Our realtor called to say the couple buying the house wanted to come over to measure for furniture!

Now in my "fragile" state, I figured, "they get to come over and look, they will have a place to live in July while we will probably be in a pop-up camper at DD's, we can't get into our new condo to live until the end of July and the sellers will probably back out at the last minute and we will be in that camper", on and on!! I told our realtor I was worried about it and she said she will call back after talking to the other realtor to see what is going on over there (at our new, proposed digs).

Well friends, at risk of making you think I am a "drunk", I had a gin gimlet. Just what I needed. I sent a few e-mails to my girlfriends and unloaded on them. The drink wore off and I sent them "new, revised" e-mails, but I definitely felt better.

A few hours later the couple came over, with the kids, and I was so glad they did. I told the woman to bring the kids in this time, because it was going to be their house anyway and she said, "really?". They were so nice. DH took the husband through the house and showed him all of the knobs and pulleys he should know about. I was everywhere, in the happily agitated state I often get in. She was so enthused. Talked about what she was going to plant here and what she was going to plant there. The 6 year old boy was very disappointed in his room. He said he doesn't want "that room" to be his bedroom! lol It is the computer room -- no bed. Guess he thinks he will have to sleep in the chair.

To add to the happy event, our realtor called, as the couple entered the house and told me that everything was still o.k. The couple we are buying from are in Fl. with their daughter who just had a baby. See, I had been going past that place and it did not look lived in. Married to a detective for 44 years, so I was suspicious, thinking, if noone lives here, why can't we get in the place until the end of July!!!!

o.k. Does this make any sense to you? It does to me, but then again, I'm the one who does this to myself.

Good morning buggies. Glad you are here to listen to me.

Lanie

LOL, Elaine. I followed every twist and turn of that story and felt what you felt at every turn. I'm sure I could have come up with even more, given 5 minutes - lolol.

When we bought our house, it belonged to a couple who wee blending their two families but then backed out. She was a idow originally and I had this idea in my head that she was "looking". she never allowed me to go there before the possession date but would call Larry and invite him to plant the garden, etc etc ... Not too paranoid but I surely did have my moments.

I'm glad you liked the family and know it will all work out. Hang tough.

Gee and I thought I was the only one who engaged in "crazy thinking." Dh tells me I sometimes go 1000mph.. So, what you wrote seemed perfectly normal to me.

Never fear- the bugs are here to see you through this.

We can work ourselves into a state about the "what ifs and how comes"

Certainly understand...have been there myself many times but have come to realize how much time I have spent worrying about things and possibilities that never happen.

Next time the old mind starts wondering in that direction..change the thought to how much you'll enjoy moving into the new place and decorating etc..as my Deneen always tells me

"things will be fine...it will all work itself out"

Take care dear lady.

Oh Lanie! You KNOW I understand and it makes perfect sense to me! I followed you...no problem! You will be just fine, everything will fall into place, you'll see.....one day at a time! The best thing? You never lose your sense of warmth and humor, and even in the midst of your trials your post's ALWAYS manage to bring a smile to my face!

Love you buggy!

Made sense to me, Lanie. I'm glad things are looking up now. Sounds like the new people are really going to enjoy your house. And I know you will enjoy the one you are moving to. I had friends who moved into their camper trailer while they waited for their house to be built. They wound up being there for 2 months and it was over a year before they wanted to go camping again. LOL I know this will all work out.--Pat
