in the greater Seattle area. Cloudy and breezy today but no rain here so far. I got the lawn mowed, it grows so fast this time of year. Now it's done and looks mighty neat and trim I must say. This weekend I have to get DH to dig the holes for the two new Lilac bushes I bought the other day. A white one and another light purple. Someday I'll have a hedge of Lilacs. Yippee!!

The crows have been bringing clams up from the beach and dropping them on our driveway to break the shells. DH had Anna out yesterday and she must have rolled in one or something as now she stinks like seaweed in the sun too long. Yuck!! Better make her an appointment at the groomer...soon!

Not too much going on around here. Hope you all are having a good day. KaCee

Poof!!! I'm gone!!

It's Wednesday here in SE Wisconsin, too. Give her a bath in tomato soup or Ketchup or anything with a tomato base--it works for skunk oder. Kathey

Hi KaCee! Darn those crows for getting Anna in trouble! Thank goodness, that isn't something our Maggie can get into...but when we clean the pool strainer, or DH cleans the gutters on the roof, anything that can be reallllllly stinky, guess who manages to find a way to roll and roll and roll! (Hint: no, it's not the DH..LOL) And when she's clean Maggie is such a cute little white dog with black eyes, nose, mouth. But she *loves* being nasty as dogs do.

Gee, I am envious of you with your lilac bushes. I remember loving all the weeping cherry trees up there, too. There were just so many of them, it was breathtaking. Did I ever tell you that when we left the Northwest, I cried for three days?? Yeah, I liked it up there! Seren

One of the best things about this board is hearing about all the different happenings in all of our very diverse lives. I would never have imagined birds dropping clams on your driveway to open them. How resourceful! Poor Anna, bet she does need a bath. Why do dogs do that, roll in nasty stuff, I mean? I used to have a little Maltese (VERY long hair, hard to maintain) and he would always find something nasty to roll in when he went outside. Ick!

I love Lilacs. Bet they will look pretty in your yard.

Hope to see you in chat in a few minutes....BB
