This is a good recipe if you like Salmon like I do! I made it for my DH tonight.

I use to make it for my girls a long time ago! I hope you will enjoy it!

Salmon Noodles Romanoff

8 oz. uncooked med. noodles

1 1/2 cups creamed cottage cheese

1 1/2 cups dairy sour cream

1/2 cup finely chopped onion

1 clove garlic, minced

2 teaspoons Worchestershire sauce

Dash red pepper sauce

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 can salmon, drained

1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Heat oven to 325º Grease a glass casserole dish. Cook noodles as directed on pkg; drain. Mix noodles, cottage cheese, sour cream, cheese, onion, garlic, Worchestershire sauce, red pepper sauce, salt and salmon, all into greased dish. Cover with crushed potato chips. Bake uncovered 40 minutes.

Thanks, SusieK! That sounds good. Now if I were closer to you, Susie in Kansas, I'd make it for you and we'd have dinner together! DH doesn't care for casseroles. :o( He'll take a helping with a look on his face that shows me he is really doing me a big favor...and I have leftovers for days. But I'm going to print this and spring it on him one day! Seren

If you make this and he doesn't like it, something is wrong somewhere, maybe it's in his head! My DH loved it and had seconds! He likes just about everything I cook! My first husband did not like casseroles either, like your DH.

He said rude things though to make me upset! For instance the casserole looks like slopp! Needless to say he is an ex! LOL

My DH, now, never would say something so hurtful or thoughtless! He is always complimenting me even on little things that I do for him! I think he might want me to stick around! It is easy to make to! Hugs, SusieK

Hi, Susie

I'm curious! How would you adapt this to WW? How many points would a serving be?

I made mental calculations with sour cream, noodles, and cheese ... well, I could be over a day's limit in one meal ... even with low-fat, no-egg ingredients.

I would defintely prepare this *as is* for ladies' luncheon ... vichysoisse to start, a salad and asparagus with hollandaise sauce for sides, fresh strawberry shortcake for dessert.

Who's worried about points? I just used my supply for the week! LOL!

Seriously though ... It isn't easy for me to keep to the 18-23 points I have as limits for maintaining at my weight. Actually that has always been my range, but thankfully exercise allows me to go over that amount without a problem.

Happy eating!

F.

Oh, SusieK, glad you're with someone now who doesn't say rude things like that! No, my DH *never* says things like that. I don't know what I'd do if he said hurtful words. No, he just eats his one helping, and loads up on salad! After 28 years, though, we know each other too well...Still he does like all the separate ingredients in your recipe...LOL

Something we both seemed to know coming into marriage, and frankly, we sure didn't know much!!, was how to argue, and how not to argue. I've tried to teach that to our DDs, though maybe it comes naturally or it doesn't. But we know the limits, and we know we love each other. We can say lots of things, but we never go over those limits. We don't hurt each other, ever. He's a sweeter person than I am, but I would never just casually toss out a nasty comment, or even not casually.

That just stung me for you that your ex would say that sort of thing. So happy you're with a man now who is so good to you. Seren

If my DH ever said something like that to me, he'd be wearing that casserole! Grrrr... So glad you have a sweetie pie for a husband now. So many of us here in the garden are blessed to have good DH's.

Your casserole sounds good, but unfortunately, neither DH nor I likes salmon. I think it is the only fish that we just don't like. Not sure why that is either. I know that salmon is good for you too...oh well....

Have a great day, Strawberry girl!...Hugs, BB

Sounds good SusieK. I haven't had canned salmon in years. This would work with leftover fresh salmon though. Thanks. KaCee

Hi Kacee! Since we do not have a yum yum icon, I will just use the agree one. LOL

Fresh Salmon would be best! Can salmon is cheaper for me. and you can adapt the recipe any way you want. I just do not like the diet stuff! no yokes are a good choice though!

If Francine reads this message, I do not know much about the points system! I might use tuna for my DH because it's his favorite! I was just talking to my 29 year old daughter on IM and told her that I would send her this recipe for her family. Her and I have fun talking, using IM with each other, making each other laugh! She is the one most like me! Light Hearted! that is! SusieK
