A good Friday morning to you all

Whispering, so not to jinx us....the rain is gone! It has been awful around here. The major creeks are over their banks and there is a big mud slide near the downtown area, over a major thoroughfare, and the road is impassable. Sure am glad I don't have to go downtown today. Traffic going into the city must be a nightmare this morning.

This is going to be a good day and weekend. Dannie and I are having lunch together today, finally. We have had to postpone several times lately, as she had things to do, then I was out of town. We will be meeting at the Farmer's Market, which has a great cafeteria. We will eat lunch there, then do some shopping.

Tomorrow I am voluneering at a training walk for the upcoming breast cancer walk (a local walk, not an Avon walk), which will take place in October. No, I am not walking again -- once was enough for me! But I will be helping out with the walk, doing whatever they need me to do. Not sure yet what my job(s) will be, but I will let you know. I am looking forward to getting involved.

Time for me to shower and get moving so I can meet Dannie at 11:30. I will check in again before I leave. Hope all of you have a great day and weekend, whatever your plans may be......BB

Is that the DeKalb County Farmers Market?? I love that place. Darn, with I could be there with the two of you today. I've been thinking maybe I should plan to stop by there on my way back from Savannah this fall. But you know, I'm like an old horse, once I'm headed in the direction of home, there's hardly any stopping me! It's fun to browse there.

DH has decided he can take more time off for his little London jaunt, and I'm moving his departure date a few days earlier. Now I'm thinking this trip is getting long enough, I should have gone, too! But I made such a big deal about "you do this now, and I'll do my little trip in September"...LOL But I do still feel this will be so special for him that I like it this way, and my older DD will keep her tickets as they are, so she and I have a few days on our own here which is always a great time. I can tell that DH is getting excited; he will be like a teenager over there! Actually, whenever he's away from the pressure of work, he is like a 12-year-old!! Aren't a lot of men that way?? That's why we just have to say *Men*.

I will be waiting to hear the lunch selections! Seren

hello, BB, my friend. I hope your lunch with Dannie was as good as past ones have been. I look forward to hearing all about it :).

It's nice that you're staying involved in the Walk for Breat Cancer. I'm sure they want and need all the volunteers they can get. I feel very lazy about volunteering this year. Hopefully, after I'm done work, I'll feel more like finding a good cause again.

Have a nice evening.

love JJ

JJ, you do so much already, for your students and your loved ones. You help people so much, and on a very personal level...:-).

Yes, I am looking forward to helping out with the breast cancer walk. Sure is nice to know that I'll be helping, but I will not have the pressure of having to train for a walk on my shoulders. That was tough!

Enjoy your weekend, my friend.....BB
