Saturday Reveille! Rise & Shine!

It's Saturday! But why am I so excited? My whole life is like one glorious weekend! LOL! I am enjoying this freedom so much! Oaky! I'll stop all this gushing of joy and happiness. ;-)

The practical side of today is ... we have to start *thinking* about the Cape. It's time make a list of what will stay and what will go so we don't forget anything crucial. We will be coming home for a few days here and there so both locations have to have adequate supplies. I've done this all before. I know the drill. Now I have to just do it!

Although we bring bed linens for all the beds and bring plenty of towels, too, our *house rules* state that if you are driving to our destination, you bring your own bedding and towels. You launder it yourself, too. We only provide for those flying in like our DD.

We have a fairly accurate schedule of who's coming and when ... and have some alone time sprinkled in here and there. I also have family on the Cape so if my DH returns to work and I choose to stay, there's always something to do.

So that's my today story.

Tonight we are meeting friends for dinner. Our friend *M* is someone both my DH and I have know since we were in 7th and 8th grade. We have a long friendship history! Her DH is on the quiet side but the three of us are gabby enough to keep the conversation lively AND ... miracle of miracles ... he's been known to join in now that he's *older*! Some good things come with age. ;-)

Well, That's it for moi! I hope everyone has a great day! Bye for now.

Enjoy your weekend, Francine. When do you leave for the Cape? How long will you be gone? And the most burning question of all -- will you have access to a computer while you are there? I can't remember from your trip last year.

Have a sweet day!....BB

Francine, sounds like quite a happy chore that you have for today. I would think that packing for that amount of time would be a chore. Do the girls enjoy being in their second home?

It is overcast here, but warm enough that I want to be outside to work for a while.

Hi, BB

About the Cape ...

We're leaving May 21 or 22 and will be away until June 21st. I no longer have a laptop, so no ... no computer access.

There will be a day or two here and there that we'll be home. Yarmouthport is only about 90 minutes away. So I'll check in when possible.

We love the Cape this time of year! The beaches are glorious! The days are approaching their longest! There's NO traffic. NO summer people! Few daytrippers! No complaints!

While we're there, we will start searching for a place of our own to buy ... perhaps not this season but for next year or even the year after. We're in no great rush. We're looking in Dennis/Dennisport because of all the golf courses. We'll see!

Bye for now.

Good Morning, Bren

The girls *love* their second home! Rosie adjusts quickly. After we move furniture to suit Gemma's needs ... She's been blind for five years. ... she's just fine, too.

Packing is actually easy. Linens and towels go in large laundry baskets ... some clothing, too. Clothing on hangers is hung on a bar in the back seat of my DH's car. We bring only food that won't keep if we leave it at home and a few kitchen items we might need. The house is well-equiped.

Truthfully I have so much family on the Cape ... an aunt, three cousins, and a niece ... we have cookouts and meet in restaurants for dinner ... a lot. It's like an on-going family reunion. We also have lots of friends and my DH's family that visit us as well. It's so much fun ... especially if the weather is cooperative.

As I told BB, this is the year we will begin the search for a place of our own. Hopefully in Dennisport because of the golf courses. We probably won't buy this year unless the *perfect* place surfaces, but it can't hurt to start searching.

Enjoy the weekend.

Francine
