morning with a hairdo like Carol Channing's from her heyday! You know the look, wild and wind-blown. DH was just waking up, and I said, "Look at this. You know how they say people resemble their pets? This is just how Maggie looks in the mornings." LOL He said "How did you manage that??" Who knows? lots of tossing and turning all night long to have a head of straw like this! I thought about spraying it into place just for the shock value, but hey, life is tough enough these days for most people without an encounter with my hair! LOL

Don't have anything special planned for the weekend, but have so many little things to handle. It's the calm before the storm. DD1 will be driving home in the next few days, and we've asked her to keep an eye on the weather. It should be raining with intermittent storms here for the foreseeable future! But I don't want to think of her driving through the Smokies on those twisting roads in a downpour...with her 2 cats! although they will be in their cages and sedated...She is (supposedly!) working on one last paper this weekend. I say *supposedly* because I can tell she has about reached her limit on school stuff, and her mind is starting to focus on escape! This is a paper she wants to do well with, because it is for a professor she just loves, and it's closer to her field of interest than most law work. She's done a lot of research from Italian cases in the original language, and has put good prep into it....but now she's just wanting to find sunshine and relaxation. Uh oh.

Well, tv just went out. Weather alarm is sounding. Better get this machine off, and batten down the hatches!! Later. Seren

Gee Seren, sorry you are having such terrible weather!Batten down the hatches indeed!

LOL, on your morning "do". That's why I have learned how to get from bed to the shower w/o looking in the mirror! That's also why I had my own room in MB last year! well, that and the snoring thing!

I know you will be so happy to have at least one DD back home soon. Enjoy your weekend! KaCee

I saw where your area was getting pounded again today, Seren. Hope you are all okay. It's headed this way, I hear. We are under a tornado watch again. Hope it clears some before time for your DD to come home. She certainly doens't need any more stress in her life.

Hope you did something with that hair, honey!..Woo Woo!...LOL!.....BB

Seren,

I hope that by the time you read this, the all clear has been sounded.

Speakng of Carol Channing, did you see where she just married her junion high school sweetheart? They were together in about 1936, but broke up. She wrote about him in her autobiography and someone told him. He looked her up, and they fell in love. He is 83 and she is 82. They are so sweet together. Now would I get back with my first love? Nahhhhh! But it was so heartwarming and romantic to see those two together after all those years.
