After that, she wanted to go and shop for deck furniture, so we hopped on 85 north and found a patio/fireplace store that is going out of business soon. They had the nicest stuff at the best prices. The owner was saying to other customers that Lowes and Home Depot are putting them out of business, and they are going to close their stores here. They will remain open in Florida. Too bad that we don't need any new outdoor furniture. I would love to have bought one set. It was beautiful. It had an old-southern charm. Ah well.
Then we had lunch at Pappadouxs', a lovely cajun-seafood place. They have all types of seafood, which I don't eat, but my friend does. She had crawfish bisque and steamed mussels. I had chicken tenders and onion rings. They were the spiciest onion rings that I had ever had. They made beads of sweat pop out on my head. I must have eaten six pieces of garlic bread and drunk a gallon of iced-tea. I was still sweating from the onion rings.
Then I rushed home to listen to "A Prarie Home Companion" because MM and her DH were there tonight. It was a very funny show tonight. I wish that I had tickets to the show here in Atlanta next Saturday, but they were sold out long ago.
Anyway, I hope that you all have a great evening.
Hugs,
Dannie

Just sitting here thinking.....my deck furniture is old (18 years). Sure would be nice to have some new stuff, especially if I can get a good deal on it. Hmmm....might have to make a trip to the place you mentioned.
Enjoy your Sunday, Dannie.....BB
