A very enjoyable evening

I had my hair done and got all gussied up in my purple pants suit and met up with our friends and headed into St.Paul to the theater. We got there early but people were lined up around the block to get in.

The show was great, very entertaining and funny. Garrison Keillor is a very funny person. I have seen him often on tv or in pictures so I knew he was anything but handsome, but in person he is a very homely man. He has a fantastic voice and the gift of gab and a very dry sense of humor. It was so much fun to be at the show and see how they do the broadcast after listening to it for all these years. Dannie I guess he started out at McCalister College. Isn't that where you went when you lived here?

After the show we went to dinner at a nice restaurant. My friend had blackened Walleye (fish) salad. Her husband and I had a steak called Drunk and Dirty. It was delicious. Roger had fahitas. Anyway it was a wonderful way to spend an evening. Now I am tired and ready for bed.

Will see everyone tomorrow. Goodnight. MM

I think it is a steak that has been marinated in whiskey and then seasoned with cagin spices. It is very flavorful and a little sweet as the whiskey carmelizes as it cooks. It is mouthwateringly tender and tasty. I thought it was a cute name. Getting restless feet these days. It has been a while since we were out your way. Keep thinking of our son and the relatives and how much we would like to see them. Maybe one of these days we will find a bargain ticket and hop on out. Busy summer ahead for me and DH never likes to take much time off in the summer but who knows. Sure would be nice. MM
