It's a cold but sunny Sunday!

We woke to a 30* morning. Thankfully everything that's green and growing is hardy and won't be killed by frost.

The sun is shining and it's supposed to warm up to the 60s. I hope so.

I still haven't heard anything about our DF Monica. I've posted an update below.

Today my DH is taking Rosie to visit his DM. He can't manage both girls so Gemma will stay at home. I wonder what he'd do if they were human? You just don't leave one home alone! LOL! Perhaps that's why God ... in His wisdom ... didn't allow men the privilage of having children.

As for me ... I'll be taking a short walk to the house on the corner of our street to attend a brunch in honor of the newest member of our neighborhood: Dominic Christopher ... and his mom, of course.

I am bringing a tray of sweet breads, rolls, pastries, etc. You must have heard of Panera Bread. They're everywhere now. I am picking up as nice assortment this morning. There was no way I could bake an assortment for just 12 people. Every recipe makes dozens and no one wants leftovers. *Everyone* seems to be watching what they eat. So I took an easy ... and delicious ... way out.

Want to get really hungry? ;-)

So that's my Sunday. I hope everyone has a great day, too.

Many blessings!

Francine

Good morning Francine

I'm hoping for a slow day today. We only have 7 days and 2 hours and 45 minutes of school left. Can you tell I'm counting the days???

It is hot here 73* and going up to the 90*s again.

Have a great brunch.

I looked up their locations and we have five of them within driving distance here. I will have to remember the next time I need bread or bakery for a special occasion.

Enjoy your day. I am praying you receive good news about your friend. Kathey

Now why did you go and do that? (and I thought I was full!)

More prayers go your way for your friend.

Have a good one, Francine.

Hugs, Shari

That is not a nice place to send someone who is sitting here alone and hungry,,shame on you...lol...

Here this morning we have that kind of sun kind of high gray haze that tells me that there are storms within a couple hundred miles...That and DH just called and told me if I got the car out today to put it back in the garage because there could be storms this afternoon.

I told you how much I miss having the lilac bushes around like they were when we first moved here. And if you have seen my pictures on PI you have seen pix of MY MAPLE.....In the spring, and I noticed this just a couple years ago.Might be because it is very mature now, but it blooms and it smells like, well, like if you could crawl in it and live kind of smell. Sweet like lilacs but I think stronger. I took some pix of the blooms which are not that great. Kind of look like a dirty cotton ball from a distance...lol.....

This tree started out to be a bush. Well, after being mowed off a few times it got tough. I don't know how to spell it....wait I am going to look something up.....BRB Janet

It's a gorgeous day here, Francine, and I feel that we deserve it after the cold, damp, rainy, miserable last few days. I went to visit DD and Dgrands and we had coffee and doughnuts in the back garden (well, the children didn't get to have coffee - lol).

I think your baking gift sounded wonderful, and I love the site you linked us to. I love bread in pretty much any form - my downfall - so salivated my way through :).

have a lovely day.

Goodness, that's cold! And I thought it was cool here today, being in the 60's.

Thanks for the update on your friend. I pray that she will be okay.

Enjoy the brunch. We have Panera here too, but I have never tried it. Need to do that soon. Blu has also mentioned how good their food is......BB

Sorry Francine no Panera here. The one nearest is Colorado and sorry....that's not happening! I won't even go to the eastside for Krispy Kremes!

I'm glad the doctors took your DF seriously and did the blood test. There are still those out there that don't take women and heart problems seriously!

Enjoy your morning! KaCee
