Aloha Ladies,

How is every one enjoying their Sunday. As I write this it is 2:30 here and my day has just begun... I kind of slept in today... had a good sleep... thats always nice ha?

I am going to vent a little bit here if you girls don't mind? A few days ago William bought me flowers. So I put them in a vase and set them out side on our glass table. Wednesday I notice the flowers were knocked over and I just thought it was the wind. The next day the flowers are knocked over again... so I figured maybe if I put them in a bigger vase with more water then it wouldn't tip over. Friday I walk out back and there they lay again tip over on the table. Now I know it is not the wind because we haven't had any wind. So yesturday I decided go on a stake out to see what is going on with these flowers on the patio table. I don't keep them inside because I think William is allergic to them.

Any how I spent Saturday just kicking back and reading in my hammock and soaking in the spa as I kept my eye on those flowers. All of a sudden bang there went the flowers. I look over and there is doggie from hell a.k.a. Nahui on top of the table. Well I just thought that was an accident and just patted him on the head and put him down.

Now today I wanted to have our lunch out side because the weather is warm and the birds are chirping their little heads off and the flowers are blooming and the bannana trees are making us bannanas which is a pretty sight. Any way I cleaned off the patio table and was ready to set up lunch out back when I see Nahui jump up on the table back up to the flowers with his butt on them and then he gave them a swift kick with his hind legs and knocked them over. What a brat he did this on propose!!!!

Okay I know what your thinking... he is probably just trying to get attention. Well every day I take the brat for a walk and the other days he is playing ball in the spa with me. (This dog throws his ball in the spa) and then jumps in after it. Which is a riot to see... Ladies He is with me 24/7 so he is not lonely. Where ever I go he goes...

So what do you girls think has gotten in to him. He likes the flowers in the gardens. Not once has he torn them up. So what in the world could be the matter with my dog?

Aloha,

Leilani

So you think the little fella is a bit neurotic about flowers? That is interesting.

Welcome to the board. I hope that you will come back often.

Hi Leilani, I have no idea what to tell you about your dear doggie but I did enjoy a laugh with the story of the flower vase.

Hope you enjoy the rest of your day...I ended up doing absolutly nothing except watch movies today.

Aloha Pab....

Well I hope his behavior doesn't become a habit! ha ha ha... it is cute though.... I had a hard time trying not to laugh when I saw what he was doing. I did not want to encourage his behavior ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!

Watching Movies on a Sunday afternoon sounds good to me! I like lazy Sunday afternoons! On Sunday I make William chill out...... like it or not his brain has to recharge so on Sundays we try and just kick back and watch the grass grow.

Nice talking to ya!

Aloha,

Leilani

Could it be that your Nahui just doesn't like that particular flower, Leilani? Or do you have a 'preservative' in the water that he does not like the smell of?

Maybe he just thinks that nothing other than food (or him) should be on that table?!

What a little character he is! Good luck figuring out the cause of the problem!

Kt that is brillant! Yeah I do have a "preservative" in the water to keep the flowers fresh... He can smell that? That has to be it. I ruled out the flowers themselves because there is flowers all over this place. But then again I don't have the same kind in my garden that are in my flower vase! The plot thickens.... I had to throw them out because they were to banged up... ha ha ha... oh that is so funny to have to say that to you!

Hey Kt doggie from hell knows he is not suppose to be on the table! The table is my domaine and his area is the ground! ha ha ha... no sharing the top of the table in my house .... ha ha ha ha ha ha...

I will be curious to see if he does this again with flowers in the future! Mahalo for responding to my post I was really stumped on this one...

Aloha,

Leilani

I can only think of 3 things that might make him do this. Either it bothers him that there is something on that table and he don't like it there. Or, he don't like William. Or he is getting old and he knows he can get away with it....lol

We had a little long haired dachshund and my DMIL had this tile on her kitchen floor that had a background of kind of a creamy gray and then it had some different colors marbled through it. Now I know it is ugly but Trish would not walk on that floor. It was like she got dizzy or something. We thought maybe she thought we were going to leave her there or something, but if you took her in the middle of the floor and put her down she would try the best and as fast as she could through one of the doorways to get off that floor....it was very strange.....as much as she liked to get out you could get her to cross that floor to run out the door...lol..So they can be kind of strange.....Janet
