Good Morning All, quite a day yesterday

It was quite a moment for her and have to admit for me too. Really happy for her...its been long hard year, lots going on but she did it.
I picked Remy up early and then picked up my sister and headed over to the college for the graduation ceremonies. They had 450 students graduating and were expecting around 3000 people for the event but have to say it all went very well, came off on time and the weather was beautiful. Her boyfriend and one of their close friends was with us also. They had a reception after the cermony...they had tents set up outside and it was really very well planned. What I found particularly rewarding was that the valadictorian was a older "Mom" who had also returned to finish school.
After we all went to one of our favorite places to eat and as usual everyone was very happy with their meal. I had pecan crusted chicken, with garlic mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach...my sister and I shared dessert...a round chocolate cake with type of chocolate fudge center which melts when they heat it up...then they serve it with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream....sooooo goood. The place is expensive but the food is always good.
By the time we were done both my sister and myself agreed...it was time to go home and put on our "comfortable cloths". It was a long day but very nice and we all had a very good time.
Next weekend the plan is to start moving her into the new apartment. New beginnings all around for them.
Today will be Remy's first day back to school since he broke his nose...he'll be limited to what he can do and of course he hasn't been able to play baseball but he has been going to the games and cheering on the team..
These morning have been very cool...its only around 42 this morning and I heard they were actually expecting "frost" further north. Maybe this summer will be a little cooler..last summer was so hot.
Well I need to get a move on paper work to do and need to get DGD Alexis' birthday presents mailed out today.
Hope everyone has a good day.
Val

Congratulations to your daughter for going back to school and graduating. Was anything ever resolved between the school and the parents of the kid who broke Remy's nose? He will probably be the center of attention today; and tomorrow it will be back to normal. I hope he enjoys his '15 minutes of fame'.
It's 54º already and the sun is starting to show with no sign of rain. Thunderstorms are predicted for today but it doesn't look like it right now.
Enjoy today. Kathey
Pecan crusted chicken and garlic mashed! I'm hungry and I've already had breakfast! LOL!
We woke to find the heat on. It's now 35* so I know we had another frost last night. But it's sunny and it should warm up by mid-day. I'm just hoping Wednesday is a good day for the drive to the Cape.
I hope Remy has a good first day back! That poor little nose! Ouch!
