Good morning & happy holiday weekend

Sounds like a busy one for a lot of you, except poor Hope who will be sitting with her feet elevated. That's okay, Hope, just relax and enjoy. I would not want to have your swollen feet, but I sure wouldn't mind if someone ordered me to relax all weekend. Yeah, I could handle that....;-).

No relaxing for me today. I have lots I need to do this weekend. Didn't make a dent in the guest room yesterday, so that little mess is still looking at me every time I go past the room. Also need to plant the flowers I bought at the nursery yesterday -- some Lantana and Impatiens, both in a melon/coral color. I seem to have gone nuts for that color this year, just love it.

Today and tomorrow, I plan to work hard around here, and on Monday, I am playing in a tennis tournament in the morning and we are going to a cookout in the afternoon. I was assigned salad as my contribution to the meal -- I am always one of the salad people, and am getting a little bored with it. So this year, I am going to cut up fruit, toss it together, and put it in a pretty glass bowl. I have a watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew and grapes, and I may add one more fruit if I go back to the store before Monday, maybe some mango chunks.

DH is getting ready to go play tennis with his buds and DD is on her way out the door to go to a 3-hour ballet class with her old ballet company. DS is still sleeping, but I plan to start making a lot of noise soon to wake him up. Grrrrr.....He is still on my you-know-what list.

Time to get dressed and get moving. I think I will start with the planting and go from there.

I hope all of you have a wonderful holiday weekend. I'll be checking in before we go out for Mexican tonight. Love, BB

<> Remember that song, BB? It's a holiday weekend, BB, so don't overdo! Of course, I'm a fine one to talk. My company just plain cleaned out my fridge, so I've been to the grocery store already today! But the rest of the day, I'm just going to take it easy. Nothing planned..except for the parties.

Have a good one!

Yes, I remember that song, Shari, Simon and Garfunkel.

Thanks for that good advice. So far, all I've done is get dressed and eat breakfast. I have Buffett on the stereo, and am just bopping around(aimlessly!) this morning.

You were smart to get out early to go to the grocery store. Bet it'll be a very busy place today.

Okay, I'm going to read a few more posts, then get to my flower planting...:-).....Enjoy your day!......BB

So, basically, your fruit salad will be right in the colour of the year" mode you're in - lol. Actually, it sounds delicious!!!!

Well, you'll be very busy and so the time will fly by. it's great not to be bored but I'm not so sure I like the time flying by as much as I used to ...... although it does take us closer and closer to Sept :).
