Yes, that does mean *all* of you..LOL!! Much easier for me to keep up when there's not a huge amount of posts here. Hope you're all enjoying your long weekend and that our Hope isn't bored out of her head from sitting with feet up. I kinda know how that feels.

I got to go to church this morning with my DSIL and Kyra & Conner. DD2 had just gotten home from working all night and was too tired to make it, so she stayed home and went to sleep.

Afterwards we went to Jason's Deli for lunch. I had grilled chicken salad with fat free ranch dressing, one small piece of bread and a small amount of ice cream in a child's cup and two mini corn bread muffins and two mini date muffins or spice muffins or whatever the little dark ones are. Yummy!! I really needed a bit of something sweet, it's been way too long since I'd had anything sweet and that little bit will keep me from wanting to binge.

Feeling pretty good now and it was sooooo good to get out.

We had a guest speaker in church this morning. He's a reporter for one of our local TV news stations. Interesting how they did it and what he had to say. He didn't stand at the podium and preach. There were two comfortable upholstered chairs up there and pastor sat in one and speaker in the other and pastor 'interviewed' reporter.

He spoke of his affair and the consequences of it. Told of his background, his father was a pastor then he went to seminary and became one too, then married and they had two young sons. He was given the opportunity to be head pastor of a satellite church that was starting and they would have to move away to do so. They moved, his father died, and they knew no one where they moved to in the beginning. They were lonely and overwhelmed with all that had to be done with unpacking and so forth and doing it alone. He became depressed and I suppose she did too.

Then one night he was on the computer at a site for pastors and met a woman in a message board there whose father had just died too. They started emailing regularly, then she sent an email with nothing on it but her telephone number. He called her. He then had to go to a business meeting that happened to be where she lived. They met and so forth. It went on for a month, he called it the darkest days in his life. He confessed to his wife, they went to counseling which didn't do enough to help keep them together, they divorced, and now he sees his two sons every other weekend and it's awful for him.

The point I'm getting at is that they also talked about forgiveness. Often churches talk about sin and the consequences and how to avoid sin. They do not, IMO, talk enough about the forgiveness of sin one for another. They talk about how God forgives sin, but we humans have a harder time of it sometimes. Humans want people who committ sin to suffer forever. It's as if only the 'other' person is a sinner and not 'ourselves'.

Anyway, it was very interesting to me and had my attention all the way through. Often sermons make me sleepy, this did not.

Okay, now that I've throughly bored you..guess I'll go and play some more Super Bounce Out and try to break my record. I must conquer level 20!! LOL!!

I'll be home the rest of the day as far as I know now, so I'll be doing more house stuff and watching TV. Will peek in on you later. Have a good day everyone...Susie

Sounds like a good sermon, Susie. I know you enjoyed getting out to lunch, too. Grilled Chicken salad has saved the day for many of us dieters. I like to have something hot at each meal, and the hot chicken on the salad works. Enjoy your afternoon.
