It is wet, wet, wet here and has been all week-end. Family left about 1 hour ago, so I will be doing laundry until time to go to work at 2:20 P.M.
Birthday celebration went nicely and it was nice to see the 2 granddaughters playing so nicely together. This is the first time they haven't been "at" each other, and it is mostly because the 6 year old from down here has matured to the point of not feeling the 3 year old was horning in on her territory.
BB, the canapes were good and everyone enjoyed them. Sounded like you had a busy day yesterday.
Reality is starting to hit home now and I am a little nervous. DD took our patio furniture back to New York with her, and it is a sure sign we will be moving from here soon. I wish it was over.
Gotta get busy and get some work done around here.

Your talk about the birthday celebration and the granddaughters brought a smile to my face. My sisters and brother and I all had our kids together with a 4 or 5 year period, and get-togethers were loud and stormy for several years there! My sister and I had daughters born 25 hours apart, then my other sister had a son 5 months later. The nephew, who is a sweet and mild-mannered dental student these days, was such a little terror to those girls! He was forever hitting them in the stomachs, and, because he was *littler* than they, they weren't really supposed to punch him back...Then there was the little niece, who was always trailing behind the rest of them, saying "follow me" and trying to give orders! It was so funny because they were always ahead of her...Then the oldest of the nephews, who was always a sweetheart, and loved babies even when he was only a grade schooler, adored my younger daughter, and was always kissing her and hugging her when she was a baby and toddler. He just couldn't get enough of her. Now he is married with a baby son of his own, and he treats his own baby just as he did mine! My DD asked the other day if he was forever snuggling his little boy, and I said absolutely. He is a fellow who was born to be a father. It's fun to watch them, and especially when you can enjoy it and not have to referee all the time!
A rainy day *and* reality hitting home sounds a little overwhelming! Hope that work went well for you and that you get some sunshine soon. A sunny day can help us get through just about anything. Talk to you later. Seren
I'll give you a call sometime later in the week and we can firm up the plans...
Hugs, Shari
