Good morning and I hope you're enjoying the day so far. Another beautiful day of sunshine here in south central Kansas today and all is well in my world.

I've had such a nice weekend and I get to go out again today too. My DD1 and family are picking me up at 3:30 (after the kiddies naps) and we're going over to DD2's house for a cookout. Love it when I'm with all of my family!! I can wheel my chair out into their backyard and sit in the sunshine for awhile.

Last night I did some sewing..or..mending I should say, of my grand's blankets I'd made them when they all were born. Some corners had come loose and their embroidered initials had worn off. Will finish that up today and give to them later. Poor little Conner left his "blankie" here last night, hope he got to sleep okay without it. He's *very* attached!! It gave me the opportunity to get it mended though. Also got my laundry done, sheets changed, two quilts washed, bills sent, and I think I've gotten some of my motivation back. It's about time I'd say!!! LOL!!

I'm going to read today's main posts, but won't have time to reply til later tonight. Enjoy the rest of your long weekend everyone.

~Susie~

Hugs,

Enjoy your memorial day. I am glad you have sunshine. Loved the image of DGM mending blankets. DS still has a pillow my DM made for him when he was 3; he takes it with him when he travels for long periods of time. He also wrote a short story about that pillow which has a name- Jesusa. That is the Spanish equivalent for Jesus in the feminine form. Why he called it that when DM gave it to him, we don't know.

Susie, I'm glad to see how well you are doing, but am curious: how do you manage to change your sheets? That's a lot of work anyway, washing everything, but you must be a regular whiz in that wheelchair! Take it easy, girl! I remember when my mother first had her "motorized wheel-vehicle", she tended to go tearing down the halls and barely made it around the corners! LOL We had to enforce strict travel laws with her.

Poor Conner! Do hope he was able to get to sleep without his blankie! Our DDs called them "binkies", and "pink sheets", although only the very first, original binky was actually pink...I've got scraps of each one's binky in their baby books. They may be scraps now, but they were as important as life's blood back in the day! Connor will be relieved to have it back, I'm sure, and all mended is a plus, but probably not one he will notice!

Good that your motivation is back! You have a very nice day planned, just make sure that sun stays out for you!

Susie, Sure sound like you are busy even in a wheel chair, that sure makes some us a little slow on the work day..

Well don't overdo or get too many speeding tickets in that thing, LOL

Have some fun at the family gathering and enjoy the nice and dry day out your way. And remember to "Smile and Enjoy". HAGEvening wren

That sounds good that your family is taking care of you! You sure have come a long way, No wheel chair is going to hold down a ladybug! and you are proving it! LOL

We got to have sunshine most of the day here too! Because of all the rain, we've been having the humidity is climbing! Hugs, SusieK
