Tues..Hi Sweeties!! Having a good day??

Hello EveryBuggie, how's it goin' so far? I've had a good day, got my pain block done today. Now I can lie on my left side too while sleeping. It helps me walk better too, which will help when I get this cast off. Two more weeks till blast off..er..make that "cast off"..LOL!!

When I was in the recovery room today, my blood pressure kept going up higher and higher every time it was taken. I was not going to let them release me til it started going down again. The highest it got to was 168/95 and I normally run around 138/65, so I knew I had to do something different to get it to start going down. I then asked them to put the back almost down into a lying down position (I had perferred sitting up) and they put another warm blanket on me..now I had three of them on me..and I started visualizing being back in Florida and floating on my back in the swimming pool. That was such a wonderful relaxing experience for me and that visual did the trick. Next time it was taken it was down to 148/80..Yippee!! Time to get the heck out of there!!

My DD2 took me with Kyra & Conner so it was good to see them again too. Afterwards, the medical center told me not to do anything for the rest of the day except to take it easy.

Okay, not hard for me to follow those directions..LOL!! They won't let you get this pain block done without someone to be there to drive you home. So I've been watching TV today and nothing else. Rough day..LOL!!

Tonight I'm going to sit back and watch "The Horse Whisperer" with my lover Robert Redford, which I've seen numerous times. Good movie and he looks so sexy and gorgeous in it. I think I'll go and pop a bowl of popcorn and get settled in with my Robert now.

Thank you to those who were supportive and kind in regards to the fall I took yesterday.

I was very sore last night, but drugged up on Ibuprophen and muscle relaxants and it was not as bad today. Have tight muscles along my right side from my neck to my hip, but it's really not so bad now and will probable be gone by tomorrow.

Someone asked me, Seren maybe, how I make my bed and do laundry from this wheelchair. It isn't hard to strip the bed by wheeling around it and pulling the sheets off, but I can't make it up again, so my kids come over to put the clean sheets on for me. As for the every day making of the bed, I can't do that either now, so I just pull it up as well as I can and let it go at that. For the laundry, I couldn't do it at all for the first three weeks and my girls did it for me at my house. Now I can wheel my chair up to the machines and stand up to load the machines. Not a problem at all except for putting it all away afterwards. The piles of folded clothes tend to fall off of my lap. Funny sight..LOL!!

Geez, since this surgery I've not been ironing my clothes or making my bed every day. What's becoming of me?!! I don't like it one bit either..LOL!!

See you later dear friends, enjoy the rest of your day...Hugs, Susie

PS...did you see my other message about Chatting tomorrow night? We can do so at our "Franni-Bug Support Group" message board. Y'all want to do that?
