Boo hoo hoo. I wasn't able to get on for a couple of days. Sitting at the puter is not good for my back. Feeling better now. Swelling of legs is down. I don't know if I told you, but it seems that the high dosage of diuretic stressed my kidneys.
Last night, I did get out to chairperson's retirement dinner. It was a fun affair. She is only 50 and decided that it was time to start a new career although she is not sure what it will be. She's going to their summer place in Mass. to write for five months. Then, she will decide. I'm glad that this chance is there for young women today.
On Wednesday, I went in to turn in final grades and got some bad news. One of the
professors was found dead that morning in the parking lot. Apparently, she had a heart attack while parking her car. The wake is tomorrow. Please say a prayer for her.
DS is anxiously waiting for word from the graduate program which he applied to for next year. He deserves and needs this boost. It will mean a permanent teaching line for him. Prayers welcomed.
I am off to read your posts. Please forgive me if I cannot answer them all. Sitting is a problem.

Glad that you're starting to feel better and are able to get out. I had the opportunity to go back to school and start a new career myself many years ago and so happy I did.
I am so very sorry to hear about the death of the professor but its just a reminder that life can be so unpredictable and we need to appreciate every day we have...will say a prayer for her family.
Will also keep your DS in my prayers and hope he gets word soon from the graduate program.
Take care of yourself..

Prayers for you and others who need them.

Sorry to read about the professor. Such a shock it must have been for her family and her friends.
It sounds as if the chairperson is making a good change for herself. We sometimes need to look in different directions.
Prayers that your DS gets into the graduate program he has applied for! He deserves the best!
Hugzzzzzzzzzz to you, Hope....
