Gracious, I have found 12 boxes of Jello in the pantry as I am cleaning it out. How long does that stuff last, does anyone know? I have no idea how old it is, as I'm sure it was all bought at different times, and there is no date on it......BB

I am so glad to hear that! My kids are always accusing me of hoarding sugar free Jello! I remember DD asking me once if there was a Jello shortage that she didn't know about. I think it is a throwback to when I was on Atkins and practically living on sugarfree Jello and whipped cream! I think Jello probably lives forever! ;-) KaCee

Poof!!! I'm gone!!

To answer your question about Jello products shelf life ......

This comes from the Kraft Foods - Jello FAQ site ( http://tinyurl.com/d558 )

<<<<<<

How can I tell if this JELL-O® package can still be used?

Expected shelf life of dry mix is about 24 months from the date of manufacture under favorable storage conditions (reasonably cool, dry place). The code number is located on the end of the flap or the bottom of the container. The 1st character designates the year the product was made. The next three characters designate the day of the year. The 5th character designates plant of production. Any additional characters designate shift and/or line.
