I've been reading lots and eading here and there, but haven't stated a post of my own. It's one of the things I don't like about his format - you can't see the threads of all the replies so you're never sure if you've answered everything ... frustrating, to me at least.

Little Bobbi is home from the hospital and is doing fine. The doctors never did give a definitive answer about her infection but, I guess, the main thing is that it's cleared up.

Two of my grands, Sierra and Kaleb, have chicken "pops". Siera said that she's now a pink dalmation ....... DD had to cancel the daycare kids for the week although I think it was too late by the time she knew.

Treavor, our newest, is doing great. He's almost 6 weeks old already and is starting to smile and coo - aren't they precious?!?

3 weeks to go before retirement but who's counting!!!!!

It's freezing here, literally. we had frost last night and it's sunny, windy and cold today.

Hi and welcome to those who are new that I missed greeting. Hugs to those who are struggling with difficult things right now, welcome back to those who have been away, and enjoy the weekend everyone.

Love

JJ

JJ, I think you are counting the days to retirement, JJ!

BUTTER TARTS!!! Yummmmm!!!!! My Mothers favorite and we always got them every trip to Canada that we took when I was a kid. That and Eccles Cakes. We had to hunt down bakeries where ever we were so Mom could get them. Now everytime I go to Canada I have to find Butter Tarts. DH brings them back for me when he goes on business. Mom never made them, I tried once but the filling boiled out all over the pans. Tasted good though. Great food memories! Thanks! KaCee

Poof!!! I'm gone!!

Glad to hear Bobbi is doing better. What I was always told about chicken pox is that once the pox show up, the contagious period is over. DD2's pox showed up on her sixth birthday. A zillion kids were invited for a party. I called all mothers and told them of the situation but they sent their kids anyway.

I hope all else is well with you. Kathey

JJ, I'm glad little Bobbi is all well now. I don't think I ever replied to your prayer request, but I did say a prayer for her.

Oh no, not the dreaded pops. Hope they make it through without too much discomfort.

Only 3 weeks? Yippee skippy!

Wish I could send you some of our beautiful weather. Have a good weekend anyway. Love, BB

What a lot of memories you invoked with the page on Eccles Cakes. I remember them well and have made them on many happy occasions ..... talk about heritage moments :):)

To see the threads of all the replies..this is how I do it anyway...is this.....

Open your window to our board

click on refresh/reload to get the most current posts

click on "today" in the little window to the right

click on "Outline view" at the top of the page

Now you'll have two windows open, one to reply with and one in Outline View to see all the replies. Just refresh/reload often to keep being able to see all the new replies.

Whenever you want to see the most current replies, just refresh/reload your Outline View window by hitting your "F5" key on your keyboard.

That's great news JJ about Bobbi, but not such good news about the chicken "pops"..LOL!! They will all heal up though and be done with all of that soon.

Three weeks til retirement..Woo Hoo!! Then you'll be able to play with us in the Garden more often. Yippee!!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend dear friend...Susie

Hugs,

..

Good Morning JJ

Know what you mean about the format....use to enjoy the "catch up " posts but you don't see them much at all...get the feeling I'm always missing something.

Glad to hear that Bobbi is doing well, hopefully in time things may improve for you friend with regard to the custody situation, how is she doing?

Usually by the time the "pops" come out, they say the it's no longer contagious.

Wonderful having a new little one around to hug.

We haven't had frost but we sure have had alot of rain, its been pouring all night and it doesn't look like it's going to let up today. All that snow we had this winter has been replaces by all the rain we're having now. Its June 1st and I feel llike I'm still waiting for spring..

Hope the rest of your weekend went well.

Val

Is it really going to happen this time? Three weeks? I'm so happy for you. Can't wait until September to hear all about it.

I bet Treavor (love that name) is one big bouncer of a baby. I love them too. In a way I wish the girls would continue to have babies, but in another way I get pretty nervous about the thought. lol

Raining here again, but not freezing like you are. Seems we think winter is over and then we all get socked again.

I saw your comment about we dear ladies being "wacko". Now really, where is your respect. I shut off the computer last night and finally went downstairs to be with DH for awhile. Missed a lot of that silly stuff on the Board. Oh sad day.

Glad Bobbi is home and well. Getting out of any hospital in a timely fashion is the best thing to do. So frequently, another infection of some sort is picked up there. It happens all the time to our patients. Bless that little dear.

JJ:

I am happy that Little Bobbi if okay now. I don't understand doctors not telling his parents what he had. Does he have a doctor who can call the hospital and ask?

Three weeks , but who's counting- more time to see Treavor growing
