Sneaking in to say hello

I couldn't get here yesterday. I thought that I only had a short errand to run, but it turned out to be a nearly all-day thing. I needed to order the dresses for Tami and Shelby to wear in my nephew's wedding in August. Oh dear, I hate to say it but the dresses are not very attractive for young girls, but what are ya gonna do? At least they are inexpensive, and it makes it easier to give them away after the wedding. The dress that my niece-to-be picked out for Shelby and my niece, Ariel, who are the candlelighters, would have to be cut in half and remade in order to fit Shelby So we are going to have to try find a pattern in the same style and then find royal blue satin or silk material and royal blue organza for the duster over the dress, that will fit both of the girls. I did buy Tami's dress. It is silver satin with a silver duster. But, IMHO, it is much to matronly. Oh well....

Yesterday was my parents' 55th wedding anniversary. It is all kind of bittersweet since he is not able to know what is going on, datewise. But my mom is feeling so blessed that he is still with us, as are the rest of his "girls".

Anyway, I will come back later to see how you are all doing.

Dannie

You're giving Tami and Shelbly away after the wedding? I wonder if DYFS knows about that.

What on earth are you doing up at 4:30 a.m.?

Fifty-five years! Very touching. God bless them both.

Hi Dannie, I know what you mean. It rarely seems that wedding party dress are very apealing at least in mho too. And they cost so much money. Congratulations to your parents. Have a great day. MM

Wondered where you were KS, you sure were busy. Oh yes, those bridesmaids dresses and what stories we all could tell of them..LOL!! Nowadays they're making them in much better and reusable styles. Your neice-to-be must not have shopped in those stores though..LOL!! Hope you can find what you'll need for Shelby's.

Happy 55th Anniversary to your dear parents. I remember in the past the sweet loving things you've said about your parents and their love and devotion. They are a beautiful example for others as to how God meant for marriage to be.

See you later dear special friend, have a nice Sunday...Susie

Hugs,

..
