Today is DS's 29th birthday. We celebrated at dinner on Saturday night along with DD's. We had dinner at a greek restaurant "Panos Kleftiko Greek Taverna". Don't ask me what we had but it was great! Some kind of sausage wrapped in grape leaves, wonderful greek salads (2), some kind of fried cheese, octopus, eggplant, other things I can't remember and tasted 3 different deserts. And of course Ozou, Retsina and a drink called "Dimitri On The Beach" That was to die for. Not sure what was in it but it was great. We ordered the one salad and the sausage in grape leaves and then DH told the waitress to just bring us their specialties. What a great meal! We have done this before in a Tapas Bar in Spain and got some great food. So much fun when you don't know what to order. Then on to "The Pig and Whistle" for DD's party. Lots of her friends and classmates there. She and Rick have so many nice friends. Played pool and chatted and left around 10pm. Exhausted. Just hung around yesterday. Got up and cut the grass (yes, again!! It grows so fast this time of year)I need to put Weed and Feed on it, beat those dandelions before they get going. Need to do some laundry. KC

Poof!!! I'm gone!!

The "Pig And Whistle" reminds me of the "Whistle Stop Inn" on the Delware Water Gap crossing over from north eastern NJ to eastern PA. After crossing the gap, you make a sharp right hand turn and if you look left before turning, you'll see the "Whistle Stop Inn". When we were kids, we always got a kick out of that name.

Happy Birthday to your DD. Hope she's taking it well that this will be the last year of her 20's. Turning 30 was very hard for me and for my two DD's too, like the end of our youth..LOL!! Now turning 80 may be the end of our youth..LOL!! I hope not though!!

All that Greek food sounds interesting, but heavy too. I used to work for a Greek couple and they always had a staff Christmas Party every year in their home. They had a huge dinning room with a very long table where we all could be comfortably seated with our spouses too. They would serve all Greek foods and an enormous amount of it and many different varieties. They'd hire servants to serve us so the hosts could be with us too. They kept passing the food around and around again. Then there were the many varieties of Greek desserts and candy. Oh my gosh, my late DH and I always got sick every year after we got back home. I mean we really got sick!! That's the only food that ever made me sick like. Sure was fun at the time we were eating it though..LOL!!

Anyway, thanks for the memories..Susie

Hugs,

..

actually it is DS that turned 29 yesterday. DD turned 33 on Saturday, they are 4 years and 1 day apart. Actually had the same due date of June 5th which neither of them made it to. DD is already saying "I'll be 40 in 7 years!!!!" I told her to get over it. But I know she feels her biological clock ticking. tick, tick, tick. ;-) KaCee
