One of the publishers of the Sunday School textbooks had a presentation this morning. I am not sure if we are going to change series, we have been using a series from a different publisher for 5-6 years and I will have to check with the Sunday School teachers to see if they are getting bored with what we have. There are only a couple that have been teaching for the whole 5 years with these books. Did come away with some nice samples to add to our resource collection and also got a neat backpack.

Have been diddling with a few chores this afternoon. When I am gone all morning it really is hard to get into the household chore mode for afternoon.

Haven't decided how I am going to spend my evening...probably in front of the tv but most everything is repeats now so should think of something else to do...like read. I have lots of books waiting for me, I really need to get going on them.

Enjoy your evening Dear Bugs. Know Shari and Lanie will be!

Hugs...Pab

Hope you find a good book to read, Pat. Are you one of the bugs that reads the Mitford Series by Jan Karon? I finished the 7th one "In This Mountain" a couple of weeks ago. Enjoyable as they all are. Enjoy your evening. KaCee

Well, Pab, I finally get home, and it is pouring down. I guess my plans for the evening are to stay inside. It is a nice evening to grab a book and head for that recliner.

KaCee, tell me about the Mitford series. The books look interesting, but I started the first one, and for some reason, thought they were situated in England. When I finally realized they weren't, I was so discombobulated (!!) that I put the book down, and eventually gave it either to my mother or my mother-in-law. I've often wondered if I wouldn't have liked the series if I hadn't gone in with that preconceived idea. You are a great reader, I think, well, especially because you got me into the Into the Wilderness series, so I would take your word! What do you think of them? Don't they take place in N Carolina? It's been a long time since I read that first bit. Seren

Seren, the Mitford series is easy reading. Stories about Father Tim Kavanagh, an Episcoplain (sp?) minister and his life in the small N. Carolina town of Mitford. Very different from the Wilderness series. Another nice little series are the Elm Creek Quilters series by Jennifer Chiaverini. Stories about a group of women that have quilting in common and meet at a Quilt camp. There are about 4 or 5 books in the series, I think. Easy summer reads! KaCee
