that didn't know Richard Chamberlain was gay? Thought that was common knowledge. I been aware of that since before The Thornbirds. I remember DH and I having discussions about it during that show and his love scenes with Rachael Ward. Maybe it was after Shogun, he was in the public eye alot for that. KaCee

Leave it to KaCee to bring up the question of the day! LOL Yes, I think we all knew that, but don't know how we knew, I mean, was it in the press?? My bestest girlfriend for my whole childhood was wild about "Dr. Kildare"; I was a "Ben Casey" freak myself. LOL Anybody else out there a fan of one or the other? It was a hot topic in what, 7th grade?? It was Kildare or Casey, and every girl knew her category...Seren

I've known he was too and I'm glad he feels free to talk about it now, must be such a heavy weight taken off of him. It must be a terribly difficult life to be gay and have to constantly hide who you are. I still think he's one of the best looking men I've ever seen, just gorgeous!! I still rate that beach scene in Thornbirds as one of the, or maybe *the*, best love scenes I'd ever seen. I'm glad my Robert Redford isn't gay..LOL!!...Susie

Susie, you keep gushing over that Robert and some woman is going to try to take him. You make me smile, Miss Susie.

Guess I will have to say that I didn't really know, but I have never been a Richard Chamberlain follower. I never really watched any of his movies or made for tv movies...never really got into the story lines of what he was in.

Awww, Pab, you are a true Ben Casey girl! You felt disloyal if you watched any of that old Dr. Kildare/Richard Chamberlain stuff. I know. LOL Listen, my good girlfriend and I even had Ben Casey and Dr Kildare skirts...Don't remember much about hers, but my poor mother cross-stitched those symbols (man, woman, birth, death, infinity LOLOL)onto the hem of a skirt for me...Can you believe that? Do girls even go through that pre-adolescent crush stage anymore? I doubt it. They're already wearing full makeup and sexy underwear at that age nowadays. Well, we were awfully goofy! LOL Seren
