that didn't know Richard Chamberlain was gay? Thought that was common knowledge. I been aware of that since before The Thornbirds. I remember DH and I having discussions about it during that show and his love scenes with Rachael Ward. Maybe it was after Shogun, he was in the public eye alot for that. KaCee

Oh yes, I had the doctor shirts too and all my friends did too. I forgot all about that..LOL!! Loved those shows, but I was always partial to Dr. Kildare. I've always perferred blondes or light haired men, but if Tom Sellek knocked on my door, I'd change my preferences right fast all right..LOLOL!!...Susie

Embroyedered (sp) skirts? Do girls where skirts anymore--they look more like wide belts. I remember the poodle skirts, though. I was a Dr. Kildair fan but like Sam Jaffe's style best.

I don't think back in the days of Dr. Kildare anyone being "gay' was even thought about much and certainly not talked about...at least not that I recall. Now that you bring it up thought it seems I can recall it being talked about at one time or another

My all time favorite "movie man" is Sean Connery...think he still remains a good looking sexy man...

Oh, Sam Jaffe was the best! and wasn't he married to one of the actresses on the show, she played a doctor, too. hmmmm. She had big bright eyes and was attractive, but I can't recall her name. I'd love to see some of those old shows. They would really be dated in so many ways...But that was serious drama back then. Ben Casey, didn't he throw temper tamtrums a lot??!! LOL Seren

Pab! Yes, what's not to like about Sean? the Scottish accent, a man in a kilt...but he doesn't really make my heart go kuthump, oh now I read it correctly: ku thump. I was reading it: kut hump, and that made no sense at all! LOL Sorry, Pab it's just too early and I haven't had my coffee yet. Yes, he makes my heart go kutthump, no matter that he's lost his hair. I like him that way, too. I believe he's a terrible sexist, though. Well, that's OK, huh? We don't have to be employed by him or even have any political discussions! LOL Oh, I gotta go make some coffee. Seren

Sam Jaffe as Dr. Zorba and his real life wife, Bettye Ackerman were who you're thinking of. You sure have a good memory!! Impressive!!...Susie
