Good Wednesday Morning Ladybugs!!

Is everybody happy? Grinning ear to ear? So full of giggles you can hardly contain yourself? No?? Me either!! LOL!!

Actually I am very happy as I have my precious rosebud Allison Paige on my lap as I type. :o))) She looks adorable in her shirt with small pink roses all over it and her jeans with cuffs of the same print. They have a little split on each side of the bottom with a little pink satin rose sewed on too. Just adorable I tell you!!

So I guess you've figured out all I'll be doing today, playing with baby and grabbing up some pockets of cuddles to last overnight til she comes here again tomorrow.

It's a beautiful sunny day today too and going up only to 72ºF with no wind. However, there is 97% humidity and rain's predicted for later. Oh well, it's a beautiful morning.

I haven't told all of you yet about my driving experience two nights ago. I let my little dog Shelby out the front door to do her last potty for the night and she didn't come back.

I kept calling her and no Shelby. After 25 minutes of that, I knew she was gone. Yep, Shelby wandered away and it was 11pm, too late to call anyone for help. The little stinker took advantage of me being in this wheelchair and knew I couldn't walk out with her to keep an eye on her.

I had no other choice but to get into my car and go look for her. I was very careful, set my walker sideways on the steps going into the garage. I made my way to the car without falling, and started out driving. It felt very awkward at first as I normally drive with two feet, but I switched to only using my right foot, got myself going, and drove along the curbside very slowly up and down my street. I had the car windows open and was calling for her. I then drove slowly around the block, no Shelby. It was around 11:25pm by then and I was more than a bit worried. Next I started driving around the block north of me and when I rounded the bend, there she was sniffing around a flower bed in front of a house.

I called for her and she looked at me like "What are you doing here?!!" Little stinker!!

She got into the car, I gave her a royal tounge lashing, and home we went. Then I had to get myself up the stairs and back into the house again. I did that and was exhausted and Shelby had wet muddy face and feet. Grrrrrr!!!!

It was fortunate that she waited til now to go on her little late night escapade as I was supposed to get my cast off yesterday, but had to wait another week to get an appointment. Therefore, I knew I wouldn't do any damage to my foot if I was very careful. So there you have the story of my first driving experience since my surgery and Shelby's last night out the front door until I can walk out there with her. She had to potty out the back door last night and it took her forever. She just thinks the backyard is for play and she had to play and run around for awhile before she finally did her business. Little stinker!!

Okay, my tummy's hungry now and my baby's making the sweetest baby gurgling honeybun noises. Time to go and play Grandma, see you a bit later dear friend. Hope you're all having a pleasant morning and expecting a good day.

~~Susie

Good Morning, Susie...enjoy your day with that Precious Darling. Well your little Shelby did pull quite a stunt the other night. Glad you were able to get her, safely and carefully.

Thanks Pab, I wanted to wring her little furry neck!! I was so perturbed that I wasn't going to let her sleep on top of the bed with me, but I gave in. Sound just like a mom don't I? LOL!!...Susie

Susie, you know you scare us all half to death when you tell us about stuff like that??!! Good thing you waited a bit to tell us! That Shelby. Well, we'll move on to Allison Paige! You described her very well, and I can picture her in her little outfit, what a doll. You lucky grandma. The other day I was in Target, and had to go through the toddler section to get somewhere, and oh, the sweetest little outfits they had. Precious. And later I guess it was the section for 5 to 8 year-old little girls. There were the prettiest and simplest little sundresses, bright print fabrics...

Glad you've got your little one to snuggle with, because Shelby sure doesn't deserve any snuggles til she gets the naughtiness out of her system...LOL Seren

Nope, that little sneak can't be trusted anymore.

My Bandit used to to that -- wander off and I would have to go looking for him. I remember that feeling of being so glad when I found him, but still wanting to wring his neck!

Glad you made it okay in the car, Suze. That is scary....BB

Susie, just wanted to tell you to please be careful. When my son was 3 years old, he broke his leg and had to be in traction for 6 weeks and then in a body cast for 6 more. When he was finally out of the cast, within days he had fractured his leg (hairline fracture), but he needed a hip cast. His doctor said it was a common thing for the immobility weakens the bones. I know that you have not been that tied down and that you are not as playful(except when watching the Wiggles) as a 3 year old, but just be careful at first.

PS Maybe Shelby has found her own Robert.

You were so-o-o right about that! You could have hurt yourself!!!

Ah, well, you didn't, and you found your precious little Shelby and brought her home safe & sound...and deserving of some sort of reprimand. But when they look at you with those woeful "I'm sorry, mommy" eyes most of the frustration just fades away!! Besides they very quickly forget the why of anything!

Hugzzzz to you both!
