When we returned to my house, I gave Lanie a tour and then we walked around the neighborhood. We ended up walking through the woods to my former neighborhood. It was drizzling a little, but that didn't bother us.
When we returned, I got out the appetizers--crab dip, smoked salmon spread, and spinach/artichoke dip. While we ate and sipped our wine, I found out that Lanie had never tasted a Cosmopolitan! So of course I had to make a (small) pitcher). I think she likes them> :) Then it was time for dinner! We had a pasta/chicken dish, asparagus, and a tossed salad. We then went into the den and chatted some more! (Mostly me!) Then we watched a little of the Miss Universe pageant. We couldn't believe the evening gowns that the finalists were wearing! They looked more like they were burlesque queens!
It was finally time for dessert! We had Sharon's Hot Fudge Sundae Pie. It was good, but oh, so rich!
We retired to bed quite early, as we were both exhausted little bugs!
Lanie said she'll give her report when she gets home! I hope that she is having as good a time as I am!
It's raining now, but hopefully it will settle down long enough so that we can check out the boardwalk and downtown!
Hugs, Shari
