Some of you like me probably have a savings bond or more laying around. In a safe deposit box or in a shoe box under the bed?
When I sold Rubbermaid years ago I won a bond and then when DH was in the hospital and they "gave him his first blood glucose monitor, those things were expencive and there was a $100 rebate. Well it was a savings bond that was worth what $37.50. Well we passed the face value now....I think that is exciting. We never cashed them in because when we needed money less than $50 was not going to even come close to enough....so I just left it in the tin box. Now we could take a nice road trip around Nebraska and eat on the road too...lol........
Anyway.....here is a calculator to tell you what your bonds are worth. http://wwws.publicdebt.treas.gov/BC/SBCPrice
