Chocolate Nut Toffee

2 paper packs of graham crackers

1 cup pecan halves

2 sticks butter

1/2cup sugar

1/4 cup brown sugar

Pinch of salt

12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips

Line a 15X10" jelly roll pan with foil, then grease with unsalted butter. (If you use salted butter, it will stick!) Cover the pan with graham crackers, breaking them into pieces to fit if necessary. Only make one layer.

Arrange the pecan halves in rows evenly over the graham crackers.

Combine the butter, sugars, salt in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a rolling boil stirring constantly. Then spoon the cooked syrup over the crackers to coat.

Bake at 350 for 10 minutes, until topping is bubbly all over the surface. Immediately sprinkle with the chocolate chips. Let the pan cool, then peel off the foil. Break into pieces and serve.

Dang, Bren, just when I'm thinking I really have to get back on the straighter and narrower, here comes this!!! I just wrote BB and told her I'd noticed her recipe for sangria on the ladybug recipe site, and am craving that...I'm gonna have to start hanging out on a board for 20-year-olds and younger---they can't cook! We *really* need a drooling icon!! That sounds so good, Bren! I've added it to the 'candy' section of our Recipe site!

Yes, Kt, a drooling icon would come in handy very often here (thinking of Susie and Robert Redford! Oh, don't tell her I said that!! LOL). But how would you design it???LOL It surely would get a lot of use. Seren
