Bout time I get myself in here to say "Hi!" to y'all!! Hope all is well in your little corners of the world. I had my Allison this morning til around 1:15, such a sweetie!

I'll be heading out of this house for awhile tonight to go to my ShareHope group. One of the members is picking me up again. I get my cast off in four days..yes *4* days!! Hooray!!! I am so ready to get my life back!! Two things I want to do most is go to the grocery store and to the mall..by myself!!

Would you believe I fell out of my wheelchair again today?!! Sure surprised me as I thought that wouldn't happen again. I was holding Allison at the time too!! Not to fret, I smoothly and safely protected Allison and put her on the floor gently and then rolled myself out of the chair's way and was able to reach back and put the chair upright. Neither Allison nor I were hurt and I was able to safely get myself back into the wheelchair again too without help. Fortunately I'd asked my PT gal before she left me how to get back up again if this would happen again. The plan worked well!! I was talking on the phone at the time that it happened too to DD1 (Allison's mommy) and never let on what was happening, I just kept talking and then sat on the floor and finished our conversation. She will never know! Ahhh..the things a woman can do when she has to..LOL!!

Getting darker outside now, expect the rain will be starting soon. Ughhhh!!!

I'm going to read some of the posts now, enjoy the rest of your day everyone.

What a relief that you and Allison are okay. I understand that after they take off the cast, you will still need physical therapy. So, do be careful. Hand manipulation first- no bycicle right away . That's what my orthopedist says when his patients want to run and jump after six weeks in a cast. We can do all the running around in September.

Yikes Susie! I bet you can't wait to get that chair out from under your bum! I take it Allison isn't old enough to say "Weeeee grandma! Lets do that again!" Glad you are both ok. Now cut it out! Hugs, Patti

It's going to be a long haul yet as I get a walking cast next for five more weeks. I sure do hope this is all worth it after all is said and done. I know my muscles will be mush after all this time. It's amazing though, from past PT experience, how fast the body heals itself and muscles build back up again. Oh yes, I'll be out there walking and running around in Savannah for sure!!

Morning Susie! I'm not doing much today either, just hanging around the house being lazy. Gosh, I really need this day.

Sure glad your little fall wasn't too bad. Take care!

Hugs, Jackie
