Like the rest of you, I was unable to post yesterday afternoon and into the evening. That is such a weird feeling, and not a good feeling either. I get a little panicky.
Everything went well at my doctors appointment yesterday, so if the lab work comes back okay, I am good to go for another year, TG. Glad to have that out of the way.
My parents are coming this weekend, so I am not sure how much I will be on the board while they are here. They will arrive in the early afternoon tomorrow, spend the night, then go back to SC sometime on Sunday.
I am planning a nice but simple dinner when they come (KT, it's your favorite!) -- steak, potato, salad, garlic toast. And I think I am going to make Bren's toffee for a little sweet treat afterwards. On Sunday morning, I want to serve breakfast on my back porch. I've got it looking so good out there, everything is clean and all the hanging baskets and other pots of plants are blooming and they look so pretty. I need to go to our recipe site and find that recipe for the breakfast casserole that you put together the night before and bake the next morning. I know I have seen the recipe on our site before, and in fact, I have had it before (at a brunch), but I have never made it. This is the weekend I will give it a try myself.
Tonight I am going out to dinner with 4 of my girlfriends, gals that I have known since the late 60s/early 70s. We get together now and then to catch up and have a few laughs. It's always a fun evening.
Time for me to get a little more coffee, then get busy around here. I will skip the walk today -- I'll get enough exercise with all I need to do around the house preparing for my parent's visit this weekend.
I'll see you ladies a little later. Hugs, BB
