Morning one and all! I am all alone( AHHHHH!) till Mon. dinner time. DH has gone to DD's place outside Boston (about 3 hrs from here)to pick up the first batch of her "stuff".DD is moving back here for the month of July then its on to a new place in Mass. She will be living w/ a girlfriend or two till Jan.. Then the plan is to move to Toronto.I wouldn't be 19 again ,to much moving around! lol It just happens that DH's DS and DBIL are in Boston this wekend as part of a vacation. These things work out timing wise sometimes. I'll be here on and off all weekend ,later Bugs Oh, I like that soap opara idea,If we each wrote a page a day or so it could go on longer than the movie game lol!

Hi Patti! Good to see you here this Saturday morning! How clever of you to have managed a weekend on your own while DH helps DD move. Moving is no fun, and your DD is at the age when they do too much of it! which is fine, except we end up having to lug their boxes with them...

Yes, the soap opera idea is tantalizing! Real life, *at times*, can be absolutely as wild as a soap opera. We can only hope that the most interesting (scandalous!! juicy!!) parts are happening to somebody else! Now, would our story have to be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but...???!! Oh, yes, please! We could change the names to protect the not-so-innocent...LOL

Have a nice peaceful self-indulgent sort of weekend. Since it's going to be soggy here, if I'm lucky, I'll get to do some reading. Or, on the other hand, we could tackle our bedroom-painting project...We'll just have to see how the day progresses. Glad to see you here. Stay in touch. Seren

If you ever come to Boston, let me know! Perhaps we couold arrange a mini-bug gathering!

Toronto is a wonderful city! I wouldn't go there now with the danger of SARS, but we have vacationed there fequently in the past. The Toronto Zoo is great! One of my favorites!

Morning to you Pattimummy. Guess I missed your entrance. Welcome to the Board. Fun here, isn't it?

Quiet weekend here too, thank goodness. DH is off to work and that frees me up to play around the house. lol

Good morning, Pattimummy, I'm not sure if I have welcomed you either. As you can tell, Lanie and I have been both been preoccupied. (In case you didn't see if, she came to my house for a visit) Yes, I would say that we have enough stories going on here to write our own soap opera. It was nice of your DH to go pick up DD. When our DD moved back from CA, she was pretty much on her own. That's a little far to go to pick someone up. :)

Enjoy your days w/o DH. This is my 8th day w/o mine--just one more to go. I have managed to keep busy.

Have a good day,

Hugs, Shari

Yes very clever of me wasen't it Pab. I'm missing out on all the "tiffs" on how to load the van properly. oh poor me.lol

I don't get to Boston Francine because of our dear dog girls, Venus and Chloe. No one to take care of them. I don't drive (extremly poor depth perciption) so DH is the one to go if DD needs us for anything. It's a good thind he loves Boston!

I agree w/ what you posted Seren about this Garden being a wonderful place to come and "visit". My friends live "here and there" but none in the area. I do all my "girlfriend" chating on line or through e-mail. It's a good thing I enjoy my own company and don't get bored easily.lol I am soooooooooooooooo happy I found this place, I plan on coming back often. Hugs to Bugs,Patti ps What's this about a meeting in Sept.?

Hello to you Shari and Lanie. Thanks for the welcome, I really enjoy my little weekends to my self because DH works from home for the most part so that means we are together 24/7. DHs are wonderful but that is A LOT of together time, it can get on your nerves if ya know what I mean. HAGD, Patti

Good morning. You have a 3 day weekend all to yourself. Good for you. I was thinking how easy it is to be mobile at your DD's age. The first time DXH and I moved, we brought everything in the smallest UHaul trailer. Some weeks, I feel I have about that much trash. HAGWE

You and me, both, Bren! As a student, I moved around *a lot*, but I only had a couple of suitcases. Then DH and I moved a few times early on, and it wasn't awfully hard. Now the thought of moving my household makes me shudder! LOL Seren

Ain't that the truth Seren! Why did it seem so easy back then? Less stuff I guess.Dd is not coming back till the end of the month. This move is just her first batch of stuff.DH goes back next week for more then hopfully DD will do the last of it w/ a friend. I just hope she remembers to call the phone and power company to turn her off. I don't want to be a nag, I'll only remind her one more time. It will be nice to have her back for awile she has been gone a year but home for quick visits every 6 weeks or so .Patti
