OMG! Black Friday was the most boring day I have ever had at Walmart. I was a door greeter. I've been a door greeter for 10 or 15 minutes at the most to relieve a person for break or bathroom. Next year, I may volunteer for a register, conflict or not with the Cash Office. I can't just stand around and not do anything. It was fun seeing everyone I knew, but geesh, it was just super busy for only a couple of hours.
Then for 2 days I have been working with the whiner. She moans and groans all the time with something hurting. Says the doctor gave her some medicine for whatever is ailing her at the time, but is not taking it. Says she just forgets. Then complains she works so hard. I think she is just happy being miserable and enjoys her ill health.
So I was so happy to finally get to work on the floor. Today went so much better. Much faster and busier. I was zoning (putting things right on the shelves), putting up stock, and helping customers. Oh just love those customers looking for something and when we don't have it they say, "Well the other Walmart carries it." I'm sorry, why didn't they buy it at the OTHER Walmart???!!! I have to tell them we are are smaller than the other Walmart and don't always carry some things. But I was still happy being on the floor.
Three more days...WOOOHOO!!! Then it will be my 3 days off. I am so looking forward to it.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and the weekend is going great.
(((hugs))

Got your feet up with your favite drink in hand? I hate a job where you have to "look" busy even when there is nothing to do.
Thanksgiving was good; I don't like turkey but my friend made a ham, also, so I was well-fed.
They showed one of our big malls on the news last night and no I could count the people walking in the aisle. I think people are getting wise to this Black Friday hoax.

Tomorrow is CYBER MONDAY!
Oh no that's not good, glad it's all over now. I went to my local mall at 7 AM last Friday and it was already packed so they must be doing good. I didn't look for 'sales' as I was very focused on what I wanted to get there and leave. I was home by 10 in the morning. Glad your 9-day stretch is going fast for you and a 3-day off is next.
I have to tell you what some of my friends did.
You've got that behind you - Congrat's!!
I wouldn't like to work with someone who is "down" the entire time. -
that would drive me crazy!!
Rest when you can, GF, it's gonna be a busy month for you!!
Time to get ready for
Christmas!
