Saturday nite at home

Here it is Saturday nite after Thanksgiving.  DD has headed back home and has made the return trip safely with her brood.  DS and his new wife are celebrating Thanksgiving at her folks this evening after spending Thursday with us. .  It's nice that her family is only 70 miles away.

I must say we had a good Thanksgiving.  It was chaotic and hectic, noisy and rowdy, but just wonderful all the same.  My house looks like a hurricane has gone thru it and I'm dead tired but I would do it all over again.

I did the whole thing with my good dishes and MIL's silver.  Stuffed the turkey and roasted it, rather than bag it.  I actually made two pies.  I did not use any artificial, lo cal or lo fat stuff.  It was all the real thing.  We all enjoyed it.  In fact there are hardly any leftovers to deal with.  LOL

The weather has been great here in SD. We all went out Thurs afternoon and hung Christmas decorations.  On Friday DD and DDIL along with the grands decorated inside.

November is over with now and we have had nice weather all thru this month..  That is one whole month less of winter to deal with and that is good news.

I really don't know how I'm going to get my shopping done for for Christmas though.  I'm thinking I'll just do most of it ON LINE.   LOL

I am so far behind on the board here.  I hope you all had good Thanksgivings no matter what you were doing.  Safe travels to Pam.

Donna sounds like a heavenly Thanksgiving. One I'm sure will freeze frame in your mind. You just want to take occassions like that and just put it in a jar.

Sounds perfect,Donna, like a Hallmark card. That is the kind of hustle and bustle one needs instead of paperwork. I hope you have no 'job' work today so you can sit back and wait for the maid to get there.

Does the grocery store sell more than groceries? My little store sells so many non-food things, he hardly has room for food. I can always get everyone a white t-shirt (l)

Unfortunately, it's mostly food.

I wonder how they figure that "Free Shipping" into the sale price. If I were to get something too heavy for me to put into or take out of the car, I'd go with shipping, too.

I'm thinking Thanksgiving is supposed to be rowdy and loud as families celebrate, so yours sounds PERFECT!!
