Driving 60 miles in rain today

I don't mind and I take it easy.

I've been looking in my jewelry boxes for an adjustable ring for DGD. I found my two old wedding bands.  I took them to a pawn shop yesterday and they will pay for the grands Christmas this year.  I guess that is the reason I hung on to them.

It's amazing that all the insurance companies that won't insure me now are begging me to sign with them for Medicare.  I don't want to choose any of them.  Then I get a lot of mail for hearing tests.  Are people supposed to go deaf when they reach mid 60's? lol

Since I woke up at 3:30 yesterday morning I was asleep before 9 last night.  I feel rested today. :)  I've just been reading a lot lately.  Tonight I watch the grands for awhile while R and DD go shopping.

I thought the year I had cancer was rough.  This year has been worse.  I can fight cancer; I cannot fight the economy.  Still no offers on part time work and nothing looming for a change of full time.

Belated birthday wishes to those whom I've missed.

Time to smile and get behind the wheel while I still have them.

Hugs,

Karen,

I did not have to drive 60 miles, but the drive that I had was miserable.

I know what you mean Karen...this has been the worse year of my life. I just got notice of receiving a 13 week extension on my unemployment so that at least buys me a little more time for job hunting. I'm now paying a little over $200/mo. for my COBRA which will last until July next year but then I'll be out of health insurance and I've GOT to have that. I'm getting very scared about finding a job. I know everything happens in God's time, not my time, but I sure wish he'd hurry up!
