Hello December Landybugs!

It is a YUKKY day here - only 38 degrees at noon.  Snow is a possibility but I actually think it will stay to the west of us.  I would be a hermit if I lived in the north.  When it gets cold I just want to stay in my pj's and stay inside.

Tonight is DH's company Christmas party.
I would love it if he came home and said he didn't want to go,
but I don't think that will happen.
Soooooo,
I'm gonna have to squeeze my post-Thanksgiving bottom into a pair of black pants,
then I'm gonna have to take OFF MY SOCKS and put on dress shoes
then I will have to actually put on a bra to wear under my new red top.
Oh the sacrifice of it all.  LOL

BTW, a friend just called to say it was snowing.
I looked out the window and if I squint "just so"
I can see  itty-bitty, tiny, dandruff snow floating about.
Sure hope our one City Sand Truck can handle this.

Deb,
I remember when our DS was in the USAF, stationed in Arkansas. He called one day to tell me that everything in the town was CLOSED and was laughing his head off. I asked what happened, he said "it snowed". The base was the only place that had a snow plow, and there was 1/2" of snow on the ground and cars in the ditches. He remembered driving in IL snow so deep that his little car bottomed out before the plows hit the streets. One time I was working late at the hospital and didn't want to be stranded at midnight. So, DH & DS head out to follow me home. There was no traffic, so I kept going slowly through signs, barely stopping for lights. I was afraid to make a full stop, because it was ice/snow mix and I'd have no traction. Got home and no sight of them. Seems that THEY got stuck and had to have a truck pull them out of the middle of an intersection.

Sorry about the required underwear tonight. I haven't seen an underwire for a week, just laying around most of the time.

After forcing myself to get into my party gear I actually enjoyed the evening.

How was the party? How fast did it take you when you got home to kick off those heels and peel off that bra and get into some sweats and slippers (lol).

Funny, I think of every place south of me as sunny and warm but you and BB are having snow. That Gore guy knows what he is talking about, I guess (lol).

When I talked to my brother yesterday afternoon he said he was watching some snow trying to make its way into their area too. He said, "next thing you know everyone will be running into the grocery stores buying up the bread and milk as if we're going to be snowed in for weeks!"

I was out and about on Thurs. and put on a sports bra and even that felt uncomfortable. If/when I got back to work the ta-ta's are going to be very uncomfortable all bound up again!

This is so funny cause I aways wondere how different I would be if I married someone that worked in an office in the city....Why? Well around here at our Christmas party for the guys that dove milk trucks....We were clean and had on nice pants and tops most of us anyway and there is always a couple of the wives that wouls show up in heels but out of say 30 there were maybe 2-3 of them. And in dresses..in Nebraska in the winter....anyway....for me I have had to wear a braw since I left the 3rd grade that summer was a real shocker for me.. But go without a bra? Only to shower and bed....lol

But our Christmas parties were always fun and didn't last a real long time.....well for some of us that lived miles away. And besides even if we would have wanted a drink we couldn't because we had to drive home....The bad part of it for me was when they started having one thing for the meal.....years ago the place we went we could order whatever we wanted from Lobster to fried chicken....but then they started having Prime rib. Those things were big enough to feed 4 if they were all meat....I really don't like them so I would take one bite and have them put it in a box and give it to Del the next day for lunch....I know there are very few people that don't like PR but to me they are fat, mushy roasts EEUUU......lol I would rather have a Tbone or Fillet.....Oh well it was free.....

Hope you had a great time....

BTW I don't even own a pair of heals or an underwire.....lol....

Have a nice day !.
