Hi, Ladybugs.....

Trying to catch up here, but it will probably take me all weekend.  I haven't visited the Garden in several days -- was busy with family, then busy the past couple of days, doing this and that around the house.  We had planned to have a little dinner party tonight, but had to cancel yesterday.  I came down with the yuck-phooies the day after my family all left to go home after our Thanksgiving,.  I'm much improved, but as of yesterday, DH has it (and he has it TWICE as bad as I did, of course!), so we had to postpone our little party tonight.  We're supposed to go to another get-together tomorrow night (to watch Clemson play Ga. Tech) but that's up in the air.  Depends on how the whiner....er....I mean, my poor sick husband....feels.  ;-)

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  My sis and her SO were here, my Mom and Dad, DD and DSonIL, DS, and DS's girlfriend.  So there were 10 in all for the big feast.  We had *beautiful* weather for 4 or 5 days in a row (sunny and warm, in the 60's) and spent a lot of time on the screened porch.  We ate (too much) good food and stayed up too late at night and in general, had a grand ole time!  I was sad to see them all leave to go home, but...

As I mentioned in another post, "they" say we might have snow tonight or tomorrow.  I don't think so.  Hmmm...I just looked at the weather map and I see that it's been snowing in Louisiana tonight!  Deb, do you have snow???  Yikes!  "They" just might be right this time!

Well, it's past my bedtime.  One of my girlfriends and I are going to a pottery show and sale (an annual event of a friend of ours) tomorrow morning, then we're going out to breakfast/brunch.  I'll do some more catching up here when I get home tomorrow afternoon.  Have a good weekend, everyone!

Boy, sounds like your holiday and this week paralleled mine. My whiner is now to the "while your up will you get me" stage. Of course, all this week he still expected some kind of supper every night. Good thing we had all that leftover turkey. Let me count the ways....to cook them.

Your Sat. sounds like fun. The bad part about living in a college town all these years is that so many friends have moved away. Even people I worked with are gone now. We had just enough snow that I am ready to put up indoor decorations on Sat.

The DGrDs were originally coming for the day, but we moved it to Sunday - they don't need the germs. I take them shopping for Toys for Tots donations - they really enjoy finding good stuff and I foot the bill. I let them buy one special ornament for their tree at home, so it's a fun trip.

Welcome back to the garden BB. Your Thanksgiving sounds wonderful. You can't beat family, food, and good weather. I'm so glad you are over the yuckie-phooies, but sorry dh has it.

It is nice to share, BB, but when it comes to the "yuck-phooies" it's ok to be selfish (lol). I do hope whatever you had is completely gone and that it leaves that delicate man of yours shortly.

We had just a dusting of snow yesterday but the weather people are still threatening that something is in the air and could drop any day now. The wind is strong and cold; I went to the corner store last night and practically flew there and back.

Have a good time with your friends today. Maybe you can rent a wheelchair to take dh to the dinner party with you (l).

BB, glad you had such a good time with your family. It sounds wonderful. I'll bet the house was really quiet after they left. I hope your DH is on the mend. (For both your sakes. lol)

We had a really nice Thanksgiving too. All the kids could come. The oldest DGD's boyfriend really wanted her to go to his family's house. (They live about an hour and
