I've been stranded at a hospital in CB, Iowa! Took my sister in for her hip replacement on Tuesday morning, and got snowed in. DH was finally able to shovel his way out to come get me last night. Poor guy got the driveway done, then the snow plow came and dumped 3 feet more in front of it! Grrrrrrr.....He took a picture and is going to send it to the mayor telling him to put our tax dollars to better use!
Anyway, sis is doing great and gets to go home today. So, we'll go down this afternoon and get her and take her to Glenwood. It's been a long week already! Our temperature outside is minus 5 degrees right now and only going to warm up to 18, so I'm not looking forward to getting out again. Don't you just love winter! NOT!
Hope the rest of you are warm and cozy.

Hi Pam,
I'm cold just reading about your weather and temperatures. I just can't imagine functioning in all that. How do you get your car started? Our temperature was 27 this morning and my brand new car struggled to turn over. I would be so miserable being that cold.
Hugs,
Melissa
That happens here with the big snows and the city plows. How do they expect people to drive on the newly plowed roads if you can't get out of the drive way>
Glad you and your sister were rescued by Prince Charming. Is the snow done in your area for a while? It's done here but frigid cold.

Not warm and cozy here...well I am because I'm in the house but it's freeeeeezing here too Pam. It finally hit zero but the wind chill is 15* below zero!! I'm with you...hating winter already.
Your poor DH...spending all that time plowing out the driveway and then the city dumps all that snow at the end of your driveway. I don't know what the answer is to that...they can't very well raise the plow for every driveway I guess but it's SO annoying.
Glad to hear your DS is doing so well after her hip replacement. That's awesome!
Oh my goodness Pam. I'm so glad dh was finally able to dig out and come get you. How do you take those weather conditions??!!! Glad your sister is doing well and is getting out so soon. Will she be at home?
(((hugs))
Wow, Pam, and I was kvetching about our cold weather!
Pam,
your story reminds me why, once I left IL, I never returned.
