Well my doctor gets a big ole' pbthhht/raspberry! I have a sinus infection. Always get one a year. So it's time for it. I'm sure it was from my sick Dgs that had it last week. I rarely catch anything that is going around. But hey, it was time. I went to the doctor yesterday to get some antibiotics. Because if it got worse over the weekend, I was going to have to wait until Monday. Sucks living in a small, Monday through Friday town. After I got off work, I went to the drug store to pick up my perscription. My doctor had called the one I can't take! What's wrong with her! Can't she read my chart!?? When I tried to call the doctor's office to get a new perscription, they had closed! So now I'm a whole weekend without meds.
I did work yesterday. I was glad to finally get home. Would have loved crashing in the bed, but had grandkids getting of their buses and snacks to cooks. I had to be Grandmama. Always worth it. They did settle down and let me get a short nap before their Mom came and picked them up.
Supper was a bust. Dh worked late and by the time he called to let me know he was on his way home, I was in no mood to cook...well for the both of us. He had Zaxby's and I fried some shrimp that needed cooking. I may be sick, but was still in Julia Child mode..lol. Dh can't eat shrimp. But that was all I had to eat. Didn't last too much longer after supper and my bed was calling my name. It didn't have to call to me for too long.
Today, oh man did I ever want to call in sick! My head was trying to explode. If I had been working with the full time girl, my butt would have stayed home. I made it until we got the day turned over and the office balanced, I was out of there! Just in time for my sister to come into the store. I was so ready to get home and to my bed, but it's not often I get to spend time with my sister. So my bed had to wait. We shopped around and I ended up buying her a Nintendo Wii. I knew she was wanting one and had been trying to find out if she had already bought one. So she was happy as a little kid. We then came to my house for coffee. That perked me up some. By the time she left I was getting hungry.
I had been wanting some chicken and dumpling. I must say I have out did myself. It hit the spot. Dh just called to let me know he was on his way home. I told him if he wanted something to eat, he better stop and get him something. He doesn't eat Chicken and Dumplings. Hard to believe that guy is southern sometimes.
So that's how things been going for me. Hope it's been going better for all of you.
((hugs))

My goodness, what a weekend you're having!
My doc does not have his office computerized either! Says he can't afford it!!!
I am glad though that you were able to enjoy some time with your sister. That always makes things easier to deal with!
All this talk about chicken & dumplings is making me seriously consider making some!!

One of the questions my doc always asks to determine if I have a sinus infection, Jacquie, is, "What color is the 'stuff' you are blowing out of your nose or coughing up?" If it is greenish it is a sinus infection!
Hope you can hold out till your scheduled appointment!

I had a feeling that would the be the answer and mine wasn't quite to the green stage. It was surprising how painful it was around one eye - I wound up putting an ice pack on to get the swelling down. That, plus decongestant with ingredient to thin out mucous got me over the worst and I finally slept for 8 hours on Sat.
Now my MD appt should be routine - except for having to fight with him over taking the statin RX.
