I've had it with my sparse eyebrows and am seriously considering having them put in via permanent makeup. Any tips? Where can I find the best in my area?

Want some of mine. My daughter says I look like Groucho Marx when I don't take care of them.

I don't know anyone who had the permanent ones done but I'm sure some celebritites have.

Mine were once like that when my hair was dark. Between tweezing and the hairs turning white, they're almost non-existent now.

Once you have it done, they will stay the same color forever, right. Do you swich hair colors now and then?

This was discussed on the Doctors TV show today. They said it might need to be touched up in a few years, depending on the person's skin tone. It's more visible on fair skin, like mine. I use taupe matte eyeshadow for my brows now and that is what I'd want them to match. Even when I let my silver grow in, I wouldn't want gray eyebrows. My DGrM used gray pencil and it was very unflattering.

Is the procedure like plugging hair into a bald man's head? Have them take it off you legs and you wont need to shave them anymore (l)

If I still had much hair on the legs it would be a good idea - LOL. Nope, it's basically tatooing the skin.

Jacquie I know a couple of people who have had it done and it looks really nice. Check online around your area and see if you can find someone who has had it done. I think you'll really like it if you have it done. Keep us updated.

I see now. I thought they were plugging tiny hairs into your brow area. Is it a real tatoo or something you can get rid of if you don't like the results?

I'm just watching "The Doctors" show right now Jacquie. I have girlfriend who lives in L.A. (actually the gal who's father's wake was last night) who has had some permanent makeup done. She has eyebrows, some liner and lipstick. She and her DH used to own a clinic where procedures of this sort were done + Botox, etc. Her permanent makeup looks very natural I think.

I think it's pretty much permanent Kathey. Yes, it's like a tattoo kinda. Although they say it kind of fades after a few years and does need touching up from time to time to keep it looking fresh. I just wouldn't want to be 80 and have dark eyeliner on me.
