Donna I can't believe Christmas is sooooooooooooo close! It has just swooped down on me. I have a lot done, but have a little bit to go.
Yesterday was cleaning house. I figured out why I had no sound on my computer. I now know where that little wire was attached..lol. I still pulled out my old external speakers and put them back into use. They have been some really good ones and I have had them attached to every computer I ever owned.
Good morning, Donna. The house looks quite Christmasy on the inside and we are satisfied and doing no more decorating. As for shopping, I haven't started yet. Money gifts are becoming a tradition with this grandma.
Best news is that temp will be in low 40s in the afternoon, so I'll be out for a walk. My plan is to get the gifts set up on the table, put a post it with a name on each (my memory is getting worse all the time) to be sure I haven't forgotten anyone. Some of the toys have been in the closet for a month. After that, I'll gift card run to WalMart and pick up what I may have forgotten. Need to return one cookie ingredient we picked up yesterday, as I have an almost full container in the cabinet. I was worried that it might be stale, but see it's good until 9/2010.
I'm giving up on any more inside decorating. DH is a Scrooge about the whole thing, and the lovelies can make me sad realizing how much is over now.
Cookie baking is top of my in my list now. The cut out butter cookies are time consuming and I need to fill 2 huge old Tupperware containers to have enough to share (DH can't keep his mitts off). Decided the only other cookies this year will be Ritz crackers dipped in melted mint chocolate. These taste just like the Girl Scout mint cookies and travel well. I once made all kinds and gave away, but most of our friends are on restricted diets, so they probably wouldn't enjoy them.
Hello Donna and everybody (((waving)))) oh it's so good to have tme to stop by this morning. I missed you lady bugs and the garden. Been working long hours this past month and hopefully things slow down a bit before it starts all over again after the New Year's...Our temps will be hitting in the 80s by tomorrow and Monday is supposed to be the official first day of winter..Goodie, our cold spell is going away...doing the happy dance...It's been the coldest that I can remember since living here.....Finished with everything except the tree which dh will do tonight I think. Kids will only be here Xmas eve and Xmas as younger ds has to work Saturday after Xmas but I'm excited because Saturday I'm off for my family's side get together and cousins from Canada are coming so we will have a large crowd this year and a sleep over...
Well time for me to mosey down the busy highway of work.
A friend told me to visit Toys R Us on times square this morning because they have a three-story ferris wheel inside the store. Attached is the best shot I could get of it. I too will always think of you when a ferris wheel is involved.
Just plodding my way thru yet another week! Went to the chiropractor and had an adjustment yesterday...my neck feels so much better!
The boards here at iVillage are still a pest at times and I must try to remember to create my messages in notepad so that should the board lock up as I try to post them I don't have to type them all over again!!
Our Christmas celebration day is still "up in the air" so there is no need for me to worry overmuch just yet!!!
Yesterday was a 12 hour day for me.

Hi Donna, I am incredibly relaxed about Christmas this year.
