Happy Friday to special Ladybugs

Good morning to you all!  We're having a heatwave here this morning and I think it's finally waking me up.  It's 20 degrees and going to climb to 30 today!  MUCH better than waking up to the minus digits!  Everything is white, of course, and more snow on the way "they" say.  All the little kiddies will get their wish of a white Christmas.  Now that I don't have to travel in it, I'm happy for them.  LOL

I just wanted to post and let you all know that I'm doing well.  I've had a cold or I'd have been here sooner.  Just had to lay low for awhile and get back on my feet.  I'll have a lot of reading to do to catch up to over a week's worth of posts, but will get it done in the days ahead.  The cold is finally on it's way out.  Just got too run down, I think.

Thank you all for the prayers and love you've sent these past couple of months for me and my son and our family.  They were felt, believe me.  We had so many miracles happen that I know for sure God was listening to your pleas.  Curt died 2 months to the day he was diagnosed with his cancer, but the doctors said he'd probably had it for almost 2 years.  Isn't that amazing that he had no pain for that long!  And the pain he did have that last 2 months was managed clear up until the day before he passed.  That's a miracle in itself as full of cancer as he was.  I plan on writing out the whole thing one of these days for anyone who wants to read it.  I think after you do, you'll never doubt that there is a loving God who gives us blessings in the midst of crisis.  But the one thing I will share now is how Curt's passing was so comforting.  He had been in the death rale for a few hours and not concious of us, so we were all just watching and taking those breaths with him.  The little chaplain came and read my father's favorite story of "The Footsteps" and then read the 23rd Psalm and a couple of other passages to him.  She was a little bitty thing, but when his out-moan was loud, she spoke louder, so he could hear and touched him the whole time.  She made the sign of the cross on his forehead and prayed a long prayer.  When she was done, he stopped the noise, took a few short breaths and was gone.  It was amazing.  Even the Hospice supervisor was amazed.  She said with his youth and strength she could have sworn he'd go on for days.  Oh, and by the way, the little chaplain is pregnant with her first child.  It's a little boy.  Life goes on.

I love you all so much, it's hard to put into words.  God bless you all and I hope you all have the best Christmas holiday with family and friends.  I look forward to reading about all your celebrations!

Thank you Deb for your beautiful words. You always know just what to say. Those are words to live by and I'm going to print them and keep them where I can see them.

Hugs,
