Good morning, Ladybugs! How is everyone today? Boy, there's a lot of baking and decorating going on in Ladybug Land, isn't there? Not too much baking going on here, but I am having my Bible Study class here for a luncheon tomorrow. I'm making Shrimp Bisque, tea sandwiches and brownies for dessert. Just keeping it simple.
How does your schedule look for the next few days...busy? Shirley Sue is ready, how about the rest of you???

I'll be on the run all day, as a really nasty weather mix is predicted for rest of the week. If we get the freezing rain predicted for 12/24, we may not make it out of town to DSs house for gathering. I just bought a train ticket to Chicago on Friday, because driving will be out of the question.
First stop today is Curves, then pick up more flour & butter for cookie making, across town for restaurant gift cards (one of the few not sold at nearby WalMart), to bank for crisp bills for gift giving. Just hoping DH feels ambitious & cleans the snow off my car soon, or I'll add that to my list. He's usually the first one in the neighborhood to clean everything up.
Off to get some scrambled eggs in me and start the day right.

The day my house is baking is the day the earth will stand still...LOL...but dh does bake sometimes not this year though. Everything will pretty much be outsourced...Busy, busy work week, working until Xmas eve but I have luncheon parties everyday with various colleagues and parties at night with friends so the countdown for Xmas will certainly be zooming by so quickly. Can't wait....and I am ready!
Happy first day of Winter!! DH just drove to town to go to the bank and to buy birdseed. I'm listening to the Messiah, which I love.
DS1 called to say that our DDIL has bronchitis. He took her to an emergency room yesterday and she's on strict bed rest. We're driving there on Wednesday, after we finish our Meals on Wheels delivery. She's invited her entire family, and ours,
The parties are over.
The gifts are all bought,
but my pantry is empty.
Gotta head to the Grocery store tomorrow.
No baking done here. I was going to bake my Mom's oatmeal chocolate chip cookies for my nephew but things are changing a little here. He might have to wait until his b'day for them.
All my parties are done with and I'm just waiting for Christmas Eve when (weather permitting) I'll drive to the City to my bff's house for a couple of days.
Still have to wrap Miss M's gifts but I won't be seeing them until sometime over the weekend.
I've just been asked to join my ex-DSIL as she takes my ex-DBIL for his 2nd surgery in 3 weeks on Wed. He fell off a ladder at work and dislocated his elbow and fractured some other bones in his arm. They took the cast off and somehow it has dislocated again and they have to go in and do more surgery on it. They are scheduled for a cruise in 4 weeks and are worried about being able to go now.
Falcon,
Love the picture of the legs , if I keep going like I am and eat not a cookies and continue my Adult Ballet Barre work , just maybe , just maybe I will get back to look that good in the legs again . I have dropped a bra size hurray ! My clothes fit better and starting to get the fat off of you know where . No more thunder thighs they are getting smaller . I use to study ballet years ago and then went back 20 yrs ago . Although the Adult ballet barre work is a snow pace . I am now at a better balance then I was before and my heart rate is better and slower now and stress calmed down too.
I think I will stay away from the gym, stick to barre work and ballroom dancing that is next on the list .
Okay enough about what I am doing and going to bed . Night all. One more thing I finished my wrapping during our horrible snow storm here in the East of Eden . LOL

One of DGrS has a birthday on Jan 04 and the cake her DM makes is simple, as we're all overstuffed from holidays. Last year I made her a family favorite cake (devil's food, split layers with raspberry jam, frosting of whipping cream & semi-sweet chocolate bits) that freezes well. I brought it frozen and said that way she could put it away and enjoy throughout the year. She thought that was really cool.
