Seen in window of my local Chinese restaurant -

WE OPEN CHRISTMAS DAY

Wonder if they will serve roasted duck on a platter.... Got to find time to watch The Christmas Story & laugh my guts out.

I suppose some people look for an open restaurant on Christmas. My little loan shark corner grocery store will be open tomorrow. I'm waiting for my daughter to wake up so I can go to the bigger grocery store and save 50 cents on a half gallon of milk (l).

Have you watched that movie? If so, you'll know why they wound up eating out.

We have a dollar store up the street that has lower prices on staples than the big chain store! But - they sell a lot of off brand junk food, so make their $$ that way.

I remember going to see "Titanic" on Christmas Day and looking for a place to eat. The only place we could find was a Chinese food restaurant...it was packed!! Some years later the local Bennigan's started opening on Christmas Day...it was across the street from the movie theatre...it was busy too.
