Celebration Continues

I hope that all of you had a lovely Christmas.  I know that some of you were experiencing weather-related issues, but I hope that you had good family times anyway.

Our celebration continues as today is DD2's 18th birthday.  I cannot believe that my baby is a fully grown adult person.  I think back to the day that she was born. She was six days late, and I had missed Christmas dinner with family and friends.  My DDad and I spent that Christmas Day together while the rest of the family went to the home of a friend who was one the world's best cooks.  DD2 decided at 3 a.m. to make the beginning of her debut into the world.  At 10:39 a.m. she decided she was ready to show after a very difficult labor for me where they had prepped me for a C-section.  I guess she "decided" then to cooperate.  She has been teasing me along since then.  She will be hanging out with friends today, so it will be quiet here at home.

I will be sneaking into the kitchen in a little while to look for some leftovers from yesterday.  I made a crispy duck, and I have to brag that it was quite good.

Anyway, I will be taking it easy today and snacking on leftovers.

Have a great day all.

Hugs,

Dannie

Happy b'day to your young lady Dannie and belated Merry Christmas to you! She's 18? How did that happen before our very eyes? She went from little girl to an adult woman. Wow!

I think I've only had duck once...maybe twice...in my life. It was ok. I bet yours was really yummy.

Be very happy you're not here in the snowy Midwest....yuck.

Sme day I am going to try fixing a duck. I have only had it in Chineese restureants and they put all kinds of sweet stuff on it. Or, maybe I'll just pop in on you when you make another one (l).

Your daughter's debut is a good story. Doesn't she owe you a Christmas dinner now?

Belated birthday wishes to your DD, Dannie! It hardly seems that your oldest should be 18, much less the younger one. I just don't know where the time goes. These babies born at Christmas time do play havock wth the plans, don't they? My youngest was born on Christmas Eve. At that time, we always spent CE with friends at a big party they had. She also was a great cook. When I definitely knew I was in labor, I wasn't sure if my DH was going to the hospital with me or to the party. LOL--Pat
