One last jab and this storm will be over

I see this morning almost all the church services are canceled in the area. We got more snow yesterday. I figured that was the cause of the cancellations, but I thought that was strange. What's another couple of inches when you have just received 20. LOL But no, it's not the snow. It's the freezing drizzle! This is a storm that just will not quit!!!!! LOL
Many people who managed to travel in the lull of the storm are now trying to figure out how they will get home. I pray for these people. One good thing it's suppose to end by noon.
I have a dumb cold. I have had better days in my life than this weekend.

I guess I'd better not start complaining about the snow coming down here since yesterday afternoon. When I returned from grocery store, the flakes had changed to small balls of ice, then it went back to big flakes. Still snowing, the only thing going by the road in front of our house is the city plow. I do love that it makes everything so startlingly bright - just hate gray overcast days. As I assured DH that there was NOWHERE I needed to go, he is putting off getting the snowblower out. We'll probably wind up with 6" or so. He just has this thing about wanting to be able to get out of the driveway if there is a health emergency. I say, heck, if it's that bad, I'd call an ambulance anyway - LOL.
Both of us are short on sleep. Seems the frozen pumpkin pie had way more spice that I use and it gave us weird dreams. All I could taste was ginger! Guess naps will be on the list for this afternoon.

Someone needs a hug today. Just curl up and take care of that cold kiddo. Rest, drink lots of fluids and sip some chicken soup. Sneak some of those decorations away when your DH isn't looking. If they come down in little bits maybe he won't notice.
Sorry you're feeling cranky today...we're entitled.
LOL
It sounds as if you could use a hug this morning, Donna.
How about a group one?
I'd try to wish away your snow, but good ol' Ma Nature would not allow that, so I'll just wish it 'done' for now at least!
One of my favorite things to keep myself hydrated with when I have a cold is hot lemonade. The steam helps open the sinuses, the warmth is soothing to the throat, and the lemon cuts the mucus that tends to clog the throat too.
Hope you are feeling much better.....soon!
