is to buy new dish towels & pot holders. The stained old ones are relegated to the rag bag. Makes the kitchen feel fresh and new. I get cotton "flour bag" type for drying and terry cloth for hands. Also hang extras on the oven door handle.

This also helps with my urge to get out & shop - LOL. WalMart, here I come.

No shopping for me LOL. I never have shopping money left after the holiday. Mine will just have to do with a good wash and maybe some Oxyclean.

I did try the silicone ones and find them too stiff - couldn't get a good feeling about whether I had a firm grip on the pan. I'm having a hard time finding the traditional pot holders with heat resistant fabric on one side.

I think that's a great idea, Jackie.
I love tips like that as I'm always looking for a way to do things better or more efficiently.

Thanks for the offer, Katie, but I'll pass, after hearing your and Jacquie's reviews.
